[00:00:04] Speaker A: Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ Head. [00:00:06] Speaker B: What up, Hip Hop Nation? It's your favorite homegirl, Gina Views. [00:00:08] Speaker A: Got a special guest in the building. Oh, man. This man has been missing in action for quite some time. Anxious to see him back out, moving around. Drama's here. [00:00:17] Speaker C: Hey, what's going on, man? I've been right here. You've been right under your nose, I swear to God. [00:00:21] Speaker A: Right under the nose right here, bro. You talking about in la? Are you talking about like on the scene? Outside? [00:00:27] Speaker C: Outside on the scene, all that. I've been right here. I've been independent. [00:00:31] Speaker A: Been independent. I wanna talk about that. Well, congratulations, you know what I'm saying? I know that's a big deal for a lot of artists going independent and stuff like that. I mean, we can start there. Why is that important for you to do that? Like to take that step, take your career in your own hands? [00:00:45] Speaker C: Because priority is a real thing, you know what I'm saying? And as an artist, you have to prioritize yourself first, first before anything, you know what I'm saying? And if you find yourself in a situation where the priority isn't there anymore and things just don't align, you have to, you know, take matters into your own hands, you know what I'm saying? [00:01:08] Speaker B: What's the price? The independent journey been like. [00:01:12] Speaker C: It's been like. It's been one of them ones, you know? Yeah, you know, of course, you know what I'm saying? But it is a beautiful thing because I've dropped two albums, you know, on the independent side and, you know, seeing exactly how things work from a more hands on, you know, basis and. Yeah, like the. We got, you know, new music coming out for sure. Like that. Yeah. [00:01:43] Speaker A: Is it. Has it been. What's the. Like, I don't wanna say the pivot, but what is the transition like? Because I was talking to a couple of my young homies, right? They got they independence, they don't know what the fuck to do with it now. They like, oh. Cause they was coddled by the label for so long. They got the label taking them here, taking them there, setting this up for them. Has it been an easy pivot for you, like with the team infrastructure and everything set up? [00:02:08] Speaker C: Nah, I'm gonna keep it a bean. [00:02:09] Speaker A: Keep it a bean? [00:02:10] Speaker C: Yeah. Not for real, you know what I'm saying? But the thing is, when you are independent, you have to know to make moves soon. You can't let things ride all the way out. Don't. As soon as you feel that there Needs to be a pivot. You gotta make that, you know what I'm saying? And all respect to anybody that's involved or whatever, but I do think that when you have had a situation where that coddling and the main priority and damn, you know, every. You know, you don't got to do nothing, you know, whatever. It's just set for make the music, it's a little different, you know what I'm saying? So you can kind of see it very, very quickly, you know what I mean? Like, oh, no, no, no, this ain't right. [00:03:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:02] Speaker C: Oh, we're not doing this. Yeah, this is what we're gonna do. Yeah, let's press your vision, you know what I'm saying? Let's press reset. [00:03:09] Speaker A: I say that because. Because, like, I don't like a bunch of artists who, like, I talked about Russ when I want the bigger picture, right? Talking to Elliot Wilson about this, I don't like artists like Russ making it look easier than what it is. Because Russ is a gifted individual. Like, he's one of them artists that are immensely talented. He's very smart, he's very diligent. He gonna do whatever it's gonna take to win. And so when artists be like, I'm saying, thank you for keeping it a bean, like, it ain't easy. Because a lot of artists who go indie, they like, yeah, you do it yourself. And you're like, bro, you can't do every fucking thing yourself. [00:03:41] Speaker C: Oh, no, no. Yeah, keep it a being. Like, in today's climate, you know what I'm saying? Like, in 2025, I think it is promoted for you to be your own. Your own entity, your own business. Like, you know, the biggest thing is like, social media, you know what I'm saying? Keeping up with that rhythm, you know what I'm saying? Especially for someone like me who, you know, I'm music first kind of guy, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm always locked in, you know what I'm saying? And as much as I love to have content out and things of that nature, I like to put my priority, you know, always first, you know, in music and production and, you know, connecting the dots and, you know, building with, you know, like, minded individuals. That's first but a close second is what I'm really working towards, you know what I'm saying? And I'm excited for this new. This new thing. Like, I really. I really have started, like, coming back out, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, moving around outside, you know what I'M saying, I've been releasing music consistently, but as far as, like, moving around outside and, you know, hitting events and doing things like that, you know what I'm saying? I would say near the end of last year, closing out and just making sure that I'm present, you know what I'm saying? [00:05:08] Speaker A: That part. [00:05:09] Speaker B: Was there a specific moment in your career that you said, it's time for me to pivot? [00:05:13] Speaker C: Mm. [00:05:14] Speaker B: And what was that? [00:05:15] Speaker C: It was like the top of 2022, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, you can always feel the vibes or whatever, you know, but benefit of the doubt, you know, I'm a very loyal guy, you know, I'm very, very team based and things of that nature. But when you see the signs, you know what I'm saying? And then it's like, all right, you know, I mean, I made drastic decisions, life changes and things of that nature, you know what I'm saying? And so when there's more clarity, granted, and I can see things, it's like, you know what I mean? [00:05:55] Speaker A: What was the pivot like? What happened? You said, top of 2022. What was the thing that changed everything? [00:06:03] Speaker C: So I left the label that I was with. Like, the end of that year, I fully, you know, I really just recouped and did everything, you know what I'm saying? I came back to the drawing board, you know what I'm saying? Like, on some. Okay. It's an independent thing now, you know, and the people that I was dealing with, you know, we just didn't see eye to eye in regards to where I should be prioritized, you know what I'm saying? And at the end of the day, that's cool, you know what I'm saying? Like, this is business. [00:06:39] Speaker A: No harm from no harm, no foul. [00:06:41] Speaker C: No harm, no foul. This is business, you know what I'm saying? [00:06:44] Speaker A: I respect that. [00:06:45] Speaker C: And that's something that you have to. That I always have to say to myself, because I'm a passionate guy, you know what I'm saying? I'm an artist. [00:06:52] Speaker A: You take this personal. [00:06:54] Speaker C: Who doesn't? [00:06:56] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? [00:06:56] Speaker C: But like, who. But. But who's gonna step up and be a man and grow from that? Yeah. You know what I'm saying? As we get older, as we step into this, and I intend on being here 20 plus years, you know what I'm saying? This is like my 10th year, you know, on the national scene, you know what I'm saying? [00:07:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:14] Speaker C: And it's. [00:07:15] Speaker B: Oh, go ahead. I'M sorry. [00:07:16] Speaker C: No, no, go ahead. [00:07:17] Speaker B: I was just gonna ask. Are you creating differently now as an independent artist versus when you were signed? Is the direction different? [00:07:24] Speaker C: Nah, Like, I always felt like when I get into the studio, it's kind of like a world that I'm building with whoever I'm working with. So I've always had just so many different lanes of, you know, working and executing. For the past five years, I have been, like, making exclusive, exclusively R and B. But, like, starting last year, I just really been, you know, locking back into my roots of, like, what kind of got me into the game. Just bending genres and having fun and, you know, just locking in, making music with incredible artists, you know, up and coming and cemented. You know what I'm saying? Mm. [00:08:07] Speaker A: Go ahead. [00:08:09] Speaker B: I was gonna say, what should we call you? [00:08:10] Speaker C: Tron, nigga? [00:08:13] Speaker B: Cause I was looking for your Instagram. [00:08:15] Speaker C: No, I know. No, no, no. [00:08:17] Speaker B: I thought it was a fake page. [00:08:19] Speaker A: Ah. [00:08:19] Speaker C: So look it. Ben was supposed to get changed back, but, like, just another thing, you know, contacts and, you know, things that you acquired, you know, while the wheels are turning as fast as they ever been, right? You know, contacts, they. You know, they switch around. These are what, revolving doors. [00:08:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:39] Speaker C: Everybody knows somebody here for two years. Next year, da da da this and the third. So as far as the reach to Instagram and Facebook, hey, I need my shit. [00:08:48] Speaker A: You know, I need my shit back. [00:08:50] Speaker B: Why was it changed? [00:08:52] Speaker C: I changed my name on some shit. Like, my second album was supposed to be called Shelly Facts. You feel me? It was an idea that I ran with, you know what I'm saying? Because at that time, I'm like, man bro is excited, you know what I'm saying? Like, let's. Let's get it going. [00:09:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:09] Speaker C: And, you know, it was like, yo, Shelly, FKA drums, everybody. [00:09:16] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm like, what do you say? Everybody? It was just you and the homies are like. Like those. Like, when you say everybody. [00:09:21] Speaker C: No, not a team. [00:09:22] Speaker A: Yeah, okay. Your team. Gotcha. [00:09:24] Speaker C: My team at the time got got you. And it was like, yeah, for sure. All right, I'm with it. I'm fucking with it. Let's go. You know what I'm saying? So we ran that. It ran its course, and it was a very transitional move, more than what I would even expect it to be, you know what I'm saying? To the point where people might have just caught on maybe last year and now. And they come up, yo, Shelly, you know, and it's out of respect, but twin. I changed it back. But that let me know. Like, you know, as an independent, you have to work 10 times as hard to get the word out. Because I just dropped two phenomenal artists, two phenomenal albums. You know what I'm saying? What had happened was, at the end of 2022, Drama and B, you know what I'm saying? Not gonna hold you. Beautiful, beautiful project. [00:10:14] Speaker A: Okay, but look, though, you gotta know when you change a name. For instance, when two Chain changed his name. [00:10:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:10:20] Speaker A: That had the Def Jam engine. Yay. Changed his name. It's Yay. [00:10:23] Speaker C: Like, of course. [00:10:25] Speaker A: Okay. When. When you make a move like that, you probably gotta think five years out from a branding standpoint, because when you work with a huge conglomerate, like a label, and they spend all of this investment promoting you as this one thing, then the pivot independently is like, a whole nother undertaking, like, for y'all to have to, like, take on as a team. Right? And then also going through team switches and shit like that. I could see why it would be a little messy or get convoluted or get watered down, so to speak. [00:10:56] Speaker C: Yeah. You know, maybe it would have stuck a little harder, you know, if I sought it through and continued to keep the name even after I switched my situation. [00:11:07] Speaker A: But did you want to want it to stick, though? Like, was your intention to always go back, or was your intention, like, let me just try this. It was like you was trying it, or was it like, no, I'm in on this Shelly shit. [00:11:17] Speaker C: I think I was in just off the strength that there was newfound excitement within the team. Got you after, you know, everything has been built, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's like, all right, cool. I'm with it, you know, on some team shit. Let's do it. [00:11:34] Speaker A: So it was like. It was like when 50 changed the power theme song. It was, you know, swing. [00:11:41] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:11:42] Speaker A: Because, you know what I'm saying? [00:11:43] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. But look, watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this. It's 2021, and Shelly is going strong. A nigga walk up to me. Shelly. Hey, man, call me Drown, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, Shelly was really exclusive to when I introduced myself to women, you know what I'm saying? Like. Like, you know, Shelly. [00:12:04] Speaker B: Is that your real name? [00:12:05] Speaker C: My name is Shelly. I was named after my grandfather. His name was Shelly. [00:12:08] Speaker B: So did you want people. So when you're drowned and then you coming up with this new project and you having these meetings with the team, and you like, all right, we gonna change the Instagram to Shelly. Did you do that just specifically for the promo of the music? You was dropping around? [00:12:23] Speaker C: Nah, N was really about to be whole like Shelly. [00:12:27] Speaker B: So when did you drop. When did you drop the Reverse Uno card? [00:12:31] Speaker C: So when I. It was almost like I made a stand of, like, you know, I'm independent. I'm taking this shit back. I'm back. Drum. [00:12:39] Speaker B: I'm Drum. [00:12:40] Speaker C: I'm drowned, Twin. Yeah, yeah, I'm drowned. Say it. [00:12:43] Speaker A: Tell the cap. [00:12:43] Speaker C: I'm drum. I'm drowned for real. [00:12:46] Speaker B: Quit calling me Shelly, nigga. [00:12:47] Speaker C: Except for the ladies, bro. [00:12:49] Speaker A: You, bro. You was right there. God damn, you was right. There's your son with the Brandy. [00:12:56] Speaker C: What's my sign? Yeah, what you think? [00:12:59] Speaker B: It's an indecisive sign. For sure. It's one of them. [00:13:03] Speaker A: Pick one. [00:13:03] Speaker B: Give me a month. [00:13:05] Speaker C: Oh, I mean, then you wouldn't know I'm a Leo. [00:13:08] Speaker A: Oh, Gina Views is a Leo. [00:13:12] Speaker C: Shay, what's your birthday? [00:13:14] Speaker A: She's a Leo, bro. [00:13:15] Speaker C: Top of August 3rd. [00:13:17] Speaker B: Ish. [00:13:18] Speaker A: Ish. [00:13:19] Speaker C: She don't say I'm August 3rd. [00:13:21] Speaker B: Oh, shoot. [00:13:22] Speaker A: Yeah, that makes sense. Like a motherfucker now, though. [00:13:25] Speaker B: No digger. [00:13:27] Speaker C: Nah, I ain't gonna hold you if it's some slight shit. Nah. Like I'm saying. What we doing the birth chart shit, like, you know what I'm saying? I don't know. I just know mine. I don't know yours, but I know mine. You know what I'm saying? For real. [00:13:39] Speaker B: Okay, okay, okay. So now it's just Drum. So I just searched the at on Instagram and nobody has it. [00:13:47] Speaker C: Nah, they got the. So when I go to drum, it's like a. It's a foreign man. You know what I'm saying? Like, foreign man. I don't know. For a very long time it was. If it's not, then I'm glad you didn't say exotic. You know what I'm saying? Nah, come on, Twin. [00:14:04] Speaker A: I'm just. [00:14:06] Speaker C: No, no, no. We big on the paper bag games. We don't do that. You know what I'm saying? [00:14:11] Speaker A: Beyond that, let me see. [00:14:13] Speaker B: Okay, so have you tried. [00:14:14] Speaker A: Is the person you come up when I type in Dr. [00:14:17] Speaker B: But Shelly coming. [00:14:18] Speaker C: Yeah, but my AT is. [00:14:20] Speaker A: Oh, okay. I got you. [00:14:21] Speaker C: Big baby drama in the. Yeah, I feel you headlining. [00:14:24] Speaker B: Is the person active? [00:14:26] Speaker C: No account. Nah, that's what I'm saying. Like, I just. I just need to re. Leverage my relationship with whoever that does that AT Meta. You know what I'm saying? [00:14:36] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:14:37] Speaker A: Hey, get. Get Drama's shit, you know what I'm saying? Look out for him. [00:14:40] Speaker C: Hey, look, I'm still doing me, man. I swear to God. But for right now, you know, still follow Shelly until it gets changed back, you know what I'm saying? [00:14:53] Speaker A: When you dropped, well, you spoke on. You got new music coming. I know you just dropped something, but I want to go back a little bit. When you dropped drama and B, I remember when that came out, it was like, to me, I don't know, were you trying to brand a new genre like your own lane? Because there was, like, mixed signals, like, with that, it was like, is it R and B? Is it drama B? Cause there was another one called I forgot the dude's name. He started something called R and Bass. And it was like all these offshoots of, like, R and B, but like, this shit slapped, but this shit for the ladies. Now we got what's the drill shit in here. [00:15:29] Speaker C: It's really a playoff words drama. It's a playoff words drama, B. It came off of a line that I said during the time, and you know what I'm saying? Like, this. That Drama B. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, and it just went up, you know what I'm saying? In my circles. [00:15:46] Speaker A: Got you. [00:15:46] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? And I'm like, all right, I'm gonna do this for the fam drama and be. Because it's like, let me re stamp the fact that I'm making R and B music because every year when something quasi viral moment happens where I'm singing, it's 90% always. Damn. Did y'all know drama could sing? I didn't know DRM could sing. Yeah, like, damn, DRM broccoli, you know what I'm saying? Like, and it's like, hey, let me double, triple, quadruple, stamp it, you know, Even though I've had, you know, R and B classics, you know, if, you know, you know, for 10 years plus caretaker. [00:16:24] Speaker B: That's what I want to talk about. [00:16:25] Speaker C: Wi fi. [00:16:26] Speaker B: I want to talk about Caretaker. [00:16:27] Speaker C: Scissors Shout out to Queen by Do I love you. [00:16:30] Speaker B: I want to talk about Caretaker. That is my favorite song by you. Yeah, I love that song. That is the number one song. It's at the top of my R and B playlist. That's the first song on the playlist, but I wanna talk about the lyrics. I'll take care of you even if you got a man now that's crazy. [00:16:50] Speaker C: I'mma keep it a bean. That was specific. A lot of my music is really for somebody, you know what I'm saying? [00:16:57] Speaker B: So there was a muse. [00:16:59] Speaker C: Yes. [00:17:00] Speaker B: Were you the side nigga? [00:17:02] Speaker C: No, I wasn't. You know what I'm saying? We had a tumultuous relationship, you know what I'm saying? It ended in 2013, right before the moments of whatever. Whatever, you know what I'm saying? But I always had it in my mind because we went through hard times together. It was some real shit that happened together. And I always vowed that no matter what, when I make it with this shit, I got your back. [00:17:30] Speaker B: Even if you got a man now. [00:17:31] Speaker C: Cause I'm. I'm out here in the streets and what am I doing? [00:17:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:37] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:17:37] Speaker B: I'm outside, so I know that I fucked up. I know I'm the reason why we not together. Cause I'm still in the streets. I'm outside. No, but whatever you decide. [00:17:45] Speaker C: No, no. It was tumultuous. I decided to leave. I decided to leave. You know, it was like a. Hey, man, you know, it's me. Da, da, da. This ain't. I'm like, I really just gotta do this. [00:18:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:04] Speaker C: And, you know, that really happened. I cannot believe it. You know what I'm saying? I'm still like, it's a blessing. A blessing to even be here right now. 10 years later. Facts still haven't talk about it. People in high places such as yourself, hey, let's talk to Trump. [00:18:24] Speaker A: Facts. [00:18:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:25] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:18:27] Speaker A: Well, you also haven't talked in a long time. I've been waiting for this conversation. [00:18:32] Speaker B: Six, seven years I've been talking. [00:18:35] Speaker A: Not like that. [00:18:36] Speaker C: No, no, of course, of course. [00:18:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:38] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? I like to keep that shit, like, limited, you know what I'm saying? I wanna. I wanna choose your spots. I wanna lead, you know what I'm saying? I wanna lead with what I'm leading with. [00:18:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Not with the other thing that's going on. Whatever things is chopped down and cut down to, you know what I'm saying? Don't mince it into just mush, you know what I'm saying? But I mean, highly, highly respected, you know what I'm saying? Like, come on, twin, you already know I was right. You know what I'm saying? I know the crib the whole time, everything. He'll tell you everything. [00:19:16] Speaker A: Everything, everything. [00:19:18] Speaker C: I'm hip and it's an honor to be in here. [00:19:20] Speaker B: You seen his ass going up on Twitter. [00:19:22] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. [00:19:23] Speaker C: It's an honor to be. [00:19:26] Speaker A: I'M just. [00:19:26] Speaker C: It's an honor to be in here, bro. [00:19:28] Speaker A: I appreciate you, bro. [00:19:30] Speaker B: Congratulations on still being here. [00:19:32] Speaker A: For sure. Most n get a three to five year run at the most. [00:19:36] Speaker B: Yeah, even. Even being that you've created music that still resonates today, that's something that fans of R and B and music fans in general are still listening to and playing that we can even have a conversation with you. A lot of niggas fall off and we don't hear nothing. We don't, you know, so being that you're able to still be here and drop new stuff independently is amazing. [00:19:57] Speaker C: Thank you. [00:19:57] Speaker A: It's super amazing, bro. Like I said, like, most n don't get that kind of run. And I actually want to congratulate you on being one of them people who did. I guess last out of that class you came in with. Because a lot of people ain't around, you know, anymore, still dropping music, et cetera. But. But I do wanna. You did touch on something. When we talking about drama and beat, you saying, like, yo, I make R and B music. Like, you know, you do that, right? So then how do you react to. Cause I have made some notes. You were nominated for a Grammy for best Rap Song Sung Performance for Broccoli with Yachty. And then also iHeartradio Music Award for Best New Hip Hop Artist. And then, you know, Tommy Richmond got a little slack for saying he's not hip hop, he's a singer, et cetera. So what's your take on getting presented to the world as a hip hop artist or for best rap performance when it's like, no, I do R and B music. [00:20:56] Speaker C: Nah, see, because this is where I think people might get it a little mixed up. It wasn't until 2018, 2019, where I was exclusively making R and B music. [00:21:11] Speaker A: Got you. [00:21:13] Speaker C: You know, Broccoli is melodic, but it's. It's a rap sung song. [00:21:17] Speaker A: Yeah, it's his best rap sung performance. [00:21:20] Speaker C: It's a rappy joke, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not about to sit here and say that it's not leaning more towards hip hop, you know what I'm saying? But it's a moment where in the middle of the party, you know what I'm saying? Like, you can't. I'm in the booth in the middle of the party. [00:21:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:21:37] Speaker C: I'm not trying to knock panties off, you know what I'm saying? We in this bitch lit, you know what I'm saying? That was. Damn. That was a. [00:21:44] Speaker B: That was a Clip, you know what I'm saying? [00:21:45] Speaker A: That was good. That was a. Anyways, you better flex them vocals on these niggas. [00:21:49] Speaker C: No, no, no. All you gotta do is go to Apple music, Spotify, anywhere, SoundCloud, you know what I'm saying? Shout out to SoundCloud. Just had a great meeting with those guys. [00:21:58] Speaker A: Good people. [00:21:59] Speaker C: Nah, for real, for real, for shit. So you know what I'm saying? [00:22:03] Speaker A: Shout out to my niggas in SoundCloud. [00:22:04] Speaker C: Yeah, for sure. [00:22:05] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? [00:22:06] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:22:06] Speaker B: Like. [00:22:09] Speaker C: You'Ll hear it, you know what I'm saying? Like it at the moment that something sticks, you know? Cause all it takes is another jump, bro. Like I got like three hits already, you know what I'm saying? And then you'll go and do the research. My God, we. We're having celebrations at that point. Yeah, because it's some real serious shit. [00:22:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:30] Speaker C: Some real inspirational shit. It's some real heart heavy shit, like, you know what I'm saying? [00:22:36] Speaker B: Is it just more that like also you just appreciate even being nominated? Does it matter what the title is? [00:22:44] Speaker C: At the time I felt like that was the best fitting thing to be nominated for, you know what I'm saying? But I mean, from the moment that I came into the game, I wanted people to say, oh, you know, rapper, singer, producer, you know what I'm saying? Or singer, rapper, producer, you know what I'm saying? If you, if you listen to any of my projects, even the record that Cha Cha was on one epic summer, you know what I'm saying? There's just as much, if not more R and B sensibilities than it is me rapping. [00:23:12] Speaker A: Touche. [00:23:13] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? And that's for every project. Goddamn dram and B. No goddamn big baby drum Shelly. And then all the other ones was like straight R and B. Yeah. [00:23:23] Speaker B: Is there any resistance for you as an artist? Cause like how we was just talking about Caretaker, which you pulling from a real situation. Have you. Do you have any internal resistance? Like, should I be this vulnerable in the music? [00:23:36] Speaker C: No. You know what I'm saying? Unless it's like, I mean like if we're like detrimental, you know what I'm saying? Like, of course not. But I mean, I've done touched on so many things because there's a, you know, it's a certain level of hurt that comes with certain things that you never expect, you know what I'm saying? And it's like, damn, if I've been vulnerable enough to speak on things, I gotta get all the way deep. [00:24:09] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:24:09] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? As braggadocious as it gets sometimes, you know what I'm saying? When niggas feeling themselves and we in the room, we in a cipher. It's that mood. You gotta know that I'm in my head a lot and I feel feelings. And I'm not ashamed nor afraid to let you know my side of the story, but in an artistic way. So, you know, take it with a grain of salt. [00:24:33] Speaker B: I think that adds to the longevity, though, being that you have so much, been here so long. One thing that's missing from music and R and B is that people are now being vulnerable. And that was something that we got from the OGs and R and B, the ushers, the tanks and stuff like that. Like, where people were so open to be vulnerable. Do you think that that is a reason why R B is not as, like, good as it used to be, or it doesn't feel the same? [00:24:59] Speaker C: I would say, as far as, like, feeling the same, because, you know, good is. Is. You know, that's objective and subjective. [00:25:06] Speaker B: It's still good, but it don't feel the same. [00:25:08] Speaker C: It doesn't feel the same. Yeah. Like, I don't know if people aren't, like, you know, wanting to jump out on that ledge or the newer generation is desynthesized via the phones. Just. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? I'm scrolling down. You know, I'm good with my. I'm on the phone with my girl. We. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm scrolling down my shit. I'm seeing all these. You know, I just seen the nigga propose with a hundred bands and she said no in front of everybody at the food. At the food court where that nigga. Yeah. Like, what the fuck? I swear to God, twin. Like, I was like, yo, this is real bad. And I could see her just like. [00:25:46] Speaker B: Is he taking applications? [00:25:47] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Hey, man, I don't know, man. His heart gotta be hurting. But you don't lead with your wallet, right? You lead with your loving. [00:25:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:58] Speaker A: Oh, you dropping gems. Dropping gems. [00:26:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:01] Speaker A: Okay. [00:26:02] Speaker B: Thank you for that. [00:26:03] Speaker A: I mean, yeah, there's that. You know what I'm saying? [00:26:07] Speaker B: Wait, okay. On that, though. What do you think about the whole sister tricking culture? Buy your girl, buy a girl bag, buy her a car, flexing, all that type of stuff. [00:26:18] Speaker C: Look, you're in a position to look out for the woman that you love, Then why Is it even a question? [00:26:29] Speaker A: What if you're not in position? [00:26:31] Speaker C: See, then there needs. [00:26:35] Speaker A: To be. [00:26:36] Speaker C: Nah, there needs to be understanding. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Yes. Nah, it's what you sign up for. [00:26:40] Speaker C: Yeah. From both sides. [00:26:41] Speaker B: From both sides. [00:26:42] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Like, bro, I ain't gonna hold you. My girl got me the PS5, and she got me the PS Portal. You feel me? [00:26:49] Speaker B: Yeah. It go both ways, you know what I'm saying? [00:26:53] Speaker C: Like What? [00:26:54] Speaker B: Mm. [00:26:57] Speaker A: The PS5 600, though, the Birkin is like. [00:27:01] Speaker B: She don't need a Birkin. [00:27:02] Speaker A: I'm just. What you mean? I'm just saying it's not comparable. [00:27:06] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. [00:27:07] Speaker A: When you buy property, you run comps. [00:27:09] Speaker C: I know. I feel like, yo, if you're giving in your way, like, bro, like, certain things, you know. You know, it was real hard to get that PlayStation. I got it in the pandemic, you know what I'm saying? I got it. I got it. [00:27:22] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:22] Speaker B: And she found it. She figured it out. [00:27:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:27:25] Speaker B: Now that's when it's. [00:27:27] Speaker A: I got my shit, nigga. During the shit. [00:27:30] Speaker B: That's really when. It's the thought that counts. [00:27:35] Speaker A: Hell yeah. [00:27:36] Speaker B: Shout out to sis. [00:27:37] Speaker A: She was out there squabbing for that. Yeah. She probably caught a fade in the Walmart parking lot for that one. That's funny as hell. Oh, man, that's funny. The other thing is, I want to talk about. I don't know if you even talk about it, but, like, your journey. I want to talk about your journey, too, because your journey to sobriety and what? [00:28:01] Speaker C: Yo, I hate. I hate the fact that speaking on sobriety makes, you know, brands step back, you know, like, the liquor brands and stuff like that. Really, bro, I still got. I still got bottles at the crib. Like, me and my girl, we. We have company over sometimes, you know what I'm saying? Like, bruh, I can have that shit in my face. I'm at the clubs. I'm here, I'm there. Everybody's in the studio. They're drinking da, da da. I'm a stronger man than that. It has been five years. January 6, 2020. [00:28:31] Speaker B: Congratulations. [00:28:32] Speaker C: Thank you. Thank you. You know what I'm saying? [00:28:35] Speaker A: Congratulations. [00:28:38] Speaker C: I was crazy, you know what I'm saying? [00:28:40] Speaker A: What you mean? Like, on what. [00:28:41] Speaker C: But I was professional, you know what I'm saying? But I was professional, you know what I'm saying? Like, now, you know, smoke weed, you know what I'm saying? Fuck with the shrooms every now and again, whatever. But I keep it like that, and I cat, you Know, I could switch back and go that route or whatever if that was something that I wanted to do, if I wanted to crash my life away, if I wanted to press a fast forward on my life. [00:29:07] Speaker A: But they fully with that, huh? [00:29:08] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Like, you know what I mean? Even after, even after. Whatever, whatever. I decided to keep that shit going, you know what I'm saying? Cause at the end of the day, like, slick don't need it, you know what I mean? Like, I see motherfuckers have they fun. As long as I'm. I feel like I'm a part of the atmosphere or whatever, I can feed off the energy. We a lot. And I might, I might have took me a little, you know, a little shroom joint, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? Let me talk to you for a second, you know what I'm saying? How you doing? You know what I'm saying? Like, oh, damn, you good? Yeah, this is just Red Bull, you know what I'm saying? Whatever, whatever. I just really feel like, yo, I'm a. I can, I can pour it. I done poured plenty drinks. I make a mean cocktail, you know what I'm saying? [00:29:54] Speaker A: Don't even gotta taste it. [00:29:55] Speaker C: Let me present it to you. No, I don't have to because I've had so many years of training. [00:29:59] Speaker B: That's amazing. [00:30:00] Speaker C: I had so much practice. [00:30:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:02] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:30:03] Speaker A: That's real shit. [00:30:03] Speaker B: That's amazing. [00:30:04] Speaker C: And I was still professional. Yeah, still professional. Never missed a show. Still very professional in the midst of that. But I knew in order to elevate and go into this thing, I need to keep this thing going, you know, it may have came in that, you know, come out of a situation where I didn't want to at first, but when you see it for yourself, it's like, nah, bro, this is the wave. [00:30:29] Speaker A: That's what's up, bro. Congratulations, bro. That's big. Thank you. What sparked the sobriety? Like, what made you want to, like, I'm finna get my life, I'm going to take my life back type. [00:30:38] Speaker C: It started off as like a ultimatum. [00:30:40] Speaker A: But then what you mean by who, like for yourself or somebody presented you with an ultimatum? [00:30:45] Speaker C: I was, I was, I was presented an ultimatum. [00:30:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:30:48] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Like, but it was a needed one. [00:30:50] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:51] Speaker C: I'm not going to take that away, you know what I'm saying? In. [00:30:54] Speaker A: In hindsight was a family member or. I'm just trying to get context yeah, yeah, Close person. [00:31:01] Speaker B: It's cool. [00:31:01] Speaker A: Yeah, okay. Got you. [00:31:03] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? And I was like, man, whatever, niggas. You know what I'm saying? Like, my career come first. Like, this shit don't. This shit don't define me, you know what I'm saying? But I was Saudi. And then like, I had a New Year's 2020, and it was like, me and my girl, it was just like real, real bad, you know what I'm saying? And I knew in my mind, no, let's give this shit a shot for real, you know what I'm saying? Like, let me believe in this shit. Let me actually live in this shit. Let me walk in this, because we ain't doing this no more. That's it. That's over with. And I swear, that's it. [00:31:41] Speaker A: It's over with cold turkey, bro. [00:31:43] Speaker C: I went to like, I did rehab for like two weeks, you know what I'm saying? Like, they was in there, man. [00:31:50] Speaker A: Bro, man, what's rehab? [00:31:52] Speaker C: Like? [00:31:52] Speaker A: I never. My homie left. He went, but then he left after, like, first day. [00:31:58] Speaker C: I would imagine it might feel like. [00:31:59] Speaker A: Military school, like programming, working out. [00:32:05] Speaker C: Like, no, like, you know what I'm saying? You just talk about stuff like. [00:32:10] Speaker A: Oh, like sessions, like group therapy and shit. [00:32:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess. [00:32:14] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:32:14] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm gonna keep it a bean. It was like, I could tell that I wasn't at that place, you know what I'm saying? And no slight to my people that was in there. [00:32:26] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, for sure that won't me. [00:32:28] Speaker C: And I told everybody, I said, bro, as soon as I get outta here, I'm lighting up the fatt backwood, you. [00:32:33] Speaker A: Know what I'm saying? [00:32:34] Speaker C: But I'm going to respect what's going on in here, you know what I'm saying? I'm gonna respect this because this is what I came in here for. I'm not even gonna, you know, try to even get into figuring out something or whatever. Da, da da. This. And the third, I reflected off of people's shit like, you know what I'm saying? Like, yo, addiction is in my blood. I come from a family. This. This is real, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, but I thank God that I wasn't at that point, you know what I'm saying? I just was like, yo, I feel like I'm good, you know what I'm saying? [00:33:07] Speaker B: You were able to get off of whatever you were doing without having to be in rehab, attend AA meetings and. [00:33:13] Speaker C: All that 12 steps. [00:33:15] Speaker B: My father's a substance abuse counselor, so I know it from top to the bottom. [00:33:19] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:20] Speaker C: Like, no, like, I mean, you know. You know, the most. The most high person in my. In my whole life. That I am a new, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, she asked. God, take the taste away. [00:33:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:33] Speaker C: And from that moment on, it was done with. I come from that. [00:33:37] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:38] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? When I made that decision, I knew. When I said in my head, it's over with. [00:33:42] Speaker A: It's over. [00:33:43] Speaker C: It was over with. I just did that for technicalities because it was part of the little ultimatum. [00:33:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:49] Speaker B: So you don't get fined. [00:33:51] Speaker A: Got you. And what about your, like, your relationship with your moms? Is that something that's. That's, like, driven a lot for you? [00:33:59] Speaker C: I lost my mother. [00:34:00] Speaker A: I know. [00:34:00] Speaker C: That's, what, 2020, like, November? [00:34:04] Speaker B: Come on. [00:34:06] Speaker C: It's up. [00:34:08] Speaker A: Nah, I feel you. [00:34:09] Speaker C: And I. I still don't even, like, really want to, you know. [00:34:11] Speaker A: Oh, you don't talk about it. [00:34:13] Speaker B: So over the course of, like, these last five years, you've had a difficult time just in general, from going independent, losing somebody. [00:34:23] Speaker C: The. [00:34:24] Speaker B: Yeah. The switching your name, the identity thing and all of that. How have you. [00:34:28] Speaker C: Was that bad, though? I don't think. I don't think. [00:34:30] Speaker A: You don't think it was that bad? [00:34:31] Speaker C: The name part won't that. That bad? [00:34:33] Speaker B: I just said it because he threw it in there. [00:34:34] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:34:37] Speaker A: Cause you was like, bro, call me Dr. Fam. Like, what's wrong with y'all? Like, that's what it say. It say Shelly, you know what I'm saying? You like, yo, what's wrong with you? [00:34:46] Speaker C: That's where. That's where. [00:34:47] Speaker A: That's for the ladies. [00:34:48] Speaker C: My passion. That's where the passion. That's where the passion gets construed. It's like, yo, this, like, the whole. [00:34:56] Speaker A: That's a Leo thing. Yeah. [00:35:00] Speaker C: I just turned up for the mic right quick, you know what I'm saying? The. [00:35:03] Speaker B: How have you been? How have you been able to overcome the things that you have dealt with all these obstacles? [00:35:09] Speaker C: I mean, my people. That's close to me, you know what I'm saying? Like, for real. For real. Like, my lady, my Aunt Judy, you know what I'm saying? Shout out to Aunt Judy, my cousins, all my first cousins, you know what I'm saying? Support system, like, you know what I'm saying? My little cousins, just, you know what I'm saying? People. That's close. Close to me, you know? What I'm saying, Like, knowing you still got family, knowing you still got friends, you know what I'm saying? My man Ellis. Ellis Quinn, you know what I'm saying? Just phenomenal artists, you know what I'm saying? We just locked in, you know what I mean? Like, my dogs. [00:35:48] Speaker A: You got dogs? What, like how many? [00:35:52] Speaker C: Oh, well, I got a dog named. I got a stepdog, but that's. But he loved me. [00:35:58] Speaker A: You a step dog? [00:35:58] Speaker C: Father more than in it, you know what I'm saying? No, no. Two. Two. [00:36:01] Speaker A: Two. [00:36:01] Speaker C: I got mine. I got in it on my album cover, you know what I'm saying? He is the original Golden Doodle, by the way. I ain't gonna hold you. Nah, nah, there's no. There's. He is the one. [00:36:12] Speaker A: Hey, you know what I realized? You can. Want your credit. [00:36:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:36:15] Speaker A: Give me my motherfucking flowers. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:17] Speaker C: Yeah. What the fuck? [00:36:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:36:19] Speaker C: What are we doing this for? [00:36:20] Speaker A: Give me my credit. [00:36:21] Speaker C: Give me my motherfucking flowers. [00:36:24] Speaker B: If I can smell them, why they. [00:36:25] Speaker A: Ain'T the first Golden Doodle, nigga. Yeah, fuck you talking about? [00:36:28] Speaker C: No, I promise to go, bro. Like, I'm talking about on the entertainment scene. [00:36:34] Speaker A: Yo, this nigga was crazy, bro. [00:36:35] Speaker B: So Soulja Boy can't claim he had the first Golden Doodle. [00:36:40] Speaker C: If he did, that makes him even more legendary. Cause you know what I'm saying, I did not check in with bro and ask him, you know what I'm saying? Nah. For real. Much love. [00:36:48] Speaker B: He a Leo, too? [00:36:49] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I'm saying, bro. Leo Gang. What the fuck? The fuck? You know? What the fuck is going on, bro? [00:36:55] Speaker A: What's wrong with the leos? [00:36:56] Speaker C: Nah, nah. What's right with the leos? [00:36:58] Speaker A: Nah, bro. What's wrong with the leos? I like this nigga. [00:37:01] Speaker C: What's right with us? [00:37:03] Speaker A: Nah. Cause it'd be like. It's the duality. Like, it's the calm, and then it's the. It's the. It's the extra shit. And it'd be like. You don't know which one. [00:37:09] Speaker B: It's no middle. [00:37:10] Speaker A: Like, when she come here, I don't know which one it's gonna be. It's gonna be up or it's gonna be like. Yeah, just let's start the show and be like, okay, nigga. Like, let's start the show. [00:37:18] Speaker C: When's your birthday? [00:37:19] Speaker A: January 12th. Capricorn Week. [00:37:20] Speaker B: As a what? Weak as a motherfucker. [00:37:23] Speaker A: What you mean? Both. I'm top of the year, nigga. [00:37:26] Speaker B: You are? You in the year, though. [00:37:29] Speaker C: Top of the year my little brother, Captain Capricorn. [00:37:31] Speaker A: January 12th. For me, he. [00:37:33] Speaker C: He had December. [00:37:34] Speaker B: Hey, bang the date. [00:37:35] Speaker A: That's not a January 12th of March. December. Capricorn is not real Capricorns, though. [00:37:41] Speaker C: Well, now, that's probably why I with him. Like. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know what I'm saying? You see what I did? See what I did there? [00:37:50] Speaker A: For sure. But yeah, it must be a Leo thing for sure. Cause y'all is like maybe here and there. [00:37:57] Speaker C: Here and there, maybe. [00:37:59] Speaker A: Man. [00:38:00] Speaker B: You went on tour? [00:38:02] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, I'm doing some East Coast. Well, Eastern America run. [00:38:07] Speaker B: You don't with us, huh? [00:38:09] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, no, no. Yes, yes, yes. I'm definitely coming, you know what I'm saying? [00:38:13] Speaker A: Like, you don't with us. [00:38:14] Speaker C: No, we have to. We have to set the reset, the foundation. You got to understand. I haven't went on an official tour since the damn tour. Shout out to Kung Fu Kenny. You know what I'm saying? You already know. You know what I'm saying? [00:38:25] Speaker A: You already know. [00:38:26] Speaker C: Much love, twin. You know what I'm saying? Much love. [00:38:29] Speaker B: I just need one show in la. [00:38:31] Speaker C: No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, we're doing that. But we have to establish first, you know what I'm saying? I ain't gonna hold you. I had. I was set to do the Shelly FK Drama Tour in 2021. We had to cancel, you know what I'm saying? Like, but the thing was they still counted those shows as if they went down. [00:38:52] Speaker B: Oh. [00:38:52] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:38:53] Speaker A: What you mean you didn't perform? [00:38:55] Speaker C: No, and they still have it as my history on Polestar and shit. So it's like we have to take matters into our own hand and re establish and refound it. But guess what? I'm doing Blue Note, you know what I'm saying? Fucking April 22nd and 23rd, the most prestigious shit, you know what I'm saying? For real musicians. That's like an honor to me that I'm considered, you know, a real musician. You know what I'm saying? [00:39:22] Speaker B: Like, you are a real musician. [00:39:24] Speaker C: Yes, I know this. [00:39:26] Speaker A: Do you like to be considered that? Are you gonna be doing, like, you know how people do the unplugged shows where they do all acoustics and shit, like that real live instrument type vibe? [00:39:36] Speaker C: I do. I actually have a version of my what Had Happened Was album, a live version of it. Shout out to my band, the Fellas, you know what I'm saying? Like, very, very talented crew three, three piece band from 757. Same place where I'm from. Shout out. VA two up, two down. The real one. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Got you. Did. I saw that? I saw the. I don't. You don't have to talk about, but I saw the tweet that you put out about like, do this look familiar or something? Like. [00:40:05] Speaker C: Nah. [00:40:06] Speaker A: Okay. Also management. You changed management. I remember you was with lvrn. [00:40:13] Speaker C: Yeah, all that. That if we, you know, if you rewind and the things that we talking about or whatever, we team, you know what I'm saying? Oh, check. I'm just not. [00:40:21] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Gotcha. [00:40:22] Speaker C: I'm not in that. [00:40:22] Speaker A: I didn't know. That's what I was asking. [00:40:23] Speaker B: I'm picking up what you putting down. [00:40:25] Speaker A: I didn't ask. I didn't know what you were talking about. [00:40:27] Speaker C: Yeah, no, no, but we not doing that, you know what I'm saying? [00:40:29] Speaker A: Okay. And then also what is homebody shout. [00:40:34] Speaker C: Out to my guy six? Yeah, that's bro. [00:40:38] Speaker A: So I was confused at first, like. [00:40:40] Speaker C: Yeah, because, you know, with Primary artist. Primary Artists, it shows up in your, you know, in your. Your new things or whatever. And this, you know, I actually like that while I'm, you know, going through that process right before I'm dropping, you know, my. My new set of music or whatever. I'm, you know, I'm honored to be like Copart, you know, whatever you call it, co artist. [00:41:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:08] Speaker C: You know, saying on these records. But my guy 6, he was originally like the main producer for Logic, you know what I'm saying? But he's, you know, since then, like just branched out and did, you know. I know he's the hella. But this project was put together almost like he's doing. Pulling like a DJ Khaled, you know what I'm saying? One of those type of things. And I went to one session, you know what I'm saying? And two songs came from it, you know what I'm saying? Like it was just some fire, you know what I'm saying? Like ended up getting. They got Juicy J up there later. So that's like that count as two records I got with, you know, the. You know what I'm saying? The great Juicy J, you know what I'm saying? It's fine. Also, my boy Guap dad was on both of these. That's my brother, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Shout out my real friends in this west side boogie, you know what I'm saying? Like, for sure. [00:42:02] Speaker A: Last thing is Epic must die. That's my shout out to Epic. [00:42:07] Speaker B: That's Our boy. [00:42:07] Speaker C: That's my boy, bro. [00:42:09] Speaker A: You mean, find out you be in. You be out here in the streets? You know what? [00:42:14] Speaker C: Terrence act like he don't be around. You know what Terrence told me? He said? He said. [00:42:18] Speaker A: You know what Terrence told me? [00:42:20] Speaker C: He said, yo, you a real west side, nigga. Nah, I did that for. For you. Yeah? [00:42:23] Speaker A: Yes, sir. [00:42:23] Speaker C: Just for you. [00:42:24] Speaker A: Yes, sir. [00:42:24] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? He say, say, yo. Yo, my boy. My boy down. Call me say, yo, man. We. We need to tap in with Drawn. He a real west side. You know what I'm saying? But, you know, VA 757 and LA, we got connections. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't understand all the way. You know, even with the HBCUs and all that. So that's fine. You know, we got a lot of water where we from. And so the cultures coincide, bruh. [00:42:47] Speaker A: So, you know, that's what's up, bro. [00:42:49] Speaker C: We over there, but we over here. [00:42:50] Speaker A: You made me forget what the fuck I was gonna say. [00:42:52] Speaker B: Thank you for fucking with an empire and empowering west coast artists, too. [00:42:56] Speaker A: Oh, that's what I was gonna ask you. [00:42:57] Speaker C: I love it out here. [00:42:58] Speaker A: My last thing is, I know you are, like, a musician and a writer and stuff like that at heart. Do you still continue to write for other artists now that you have this newfound. I know you've written for other artists in the past. [00:43:11] Speaker C: Yeah. If the shoe, you know, it's set to fit, I'm gonna wear it. You know what I mean? I'm multifaceted. So wherever I'm needed during the time that I can be there, I'm there. You know what I'm saying? Especially if I'm feeling the vibe. I'm not stingy with this shit. You know what I'm saying? I feel just like Dre did on a Hollywood divorce, you know what I'm saying? Three stacks. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, we just always gonna keep coming up with new shit. So, like, bruh, if y'all pulled up something right now, you like, bro, I got an idea. Like, bro, I sit here with you. [00:43:43] Speaker A: Cause I fuck with you. [00:43:45] Speaker C: Nah, for real. We can lock it in. [00:43:46] Speaker A: That's what's up, bro. [00:43:47] Speaker C: I'm not playing. [00:43:48] Speaker A: That's what's up, bro. Yeah, we gonna figure something out. I appreciate you for pulling up, man. And I appreciate you. I know you don't. You don't be doing a lot of talking all that, like, so I appreciate that. You know what I'm saying thank you for coming through. Hopefully we get to hear. Do you have a name for the new project? [00:44:03] Speaker C: Yes, it's called Leorpio. [00:44:04] Speaker A: It's called what? [00:44:05] Speaker C: It's Leorpio. It's a nod to outkast. You know how they had Equimina, me and Ellis Quinn. I'm a Leo, he a Scorpio. [00:44:13] Speaker A: Lee Orpio. [00:44:14] Speaker C: Lee Orpio. [00:44:15] Speaker A: Okay. [00:44:16] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? [00:44:16] Speaker A: Album is done. [00:44:18] Speaker C: Yeah, it's done. It's coming out, I think like April 25th, but at midnight, the homies be. [00:44:23] Speaker A: Like, don't say a date. [00:44:24] Speaker C: Don't say April 25th. Shout out to my man Josh. [00:44:28] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Don't fucking say a date. April 25th. [00:44:33] Speaker C: Yeah, April 25th. But we got our first single dropping at midnight. It's called Mars. Yeah, we shot a video to it. [00:44:44] Speaker A: Where? [00:44:44] Speaker C: Here. [00:44:45] Speaker A: Yeah, I can see that. And then, yeah, Midnight, you know what I'm saying? Mars. That's the first record from this. The whole project just feels hella like, you know what I'm saying? Wavy, you know what I'm saying? Like, like, like it's consistent, euphoric, almost feels like trancy, almost like. Like hypnotic, but just, you know, a smorgasbord. A plethora of flavors and sounds, you know, from myself, Ellis Quinn, and some of our close music friends. [00:45:41] Speaker A: Who's on the album. [00:45:44] Speaker C: Guapdad? Ferg.
