[00:00:04] Speaker A: Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm dj head.
[00:00:06] Speaker B: What up, bro? This your favorite homegirl, Gina views. And we got a one of my favorite mc's in the building, right?
[00:00:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Your favorite Canberra Avcash. Jason Cash.
[00:00:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:00:16] Speaker A: Yeah, Carson. California's own.
That I bet project is out.
[00:00:20] Speaker C: It's in the streets.
[00:00:22] Speaker A: I know you've been having, you've been working on. You don't stop working. We don't want to overlook your contributions either. You know that mustard, that faith of a mustard seed album just came out. Jason Cash is one of those. I'm sorry, your government name is listed on that. On that. On the credits.
[00:00:38] Speaker C: Yeah, man, mustard.
Super solid for that. Super solid.
Involving me in that and just being able to date a song come out, seeing yourself in the credits and being a part of something that, like, you know, that's a part of his history. That's the first time niggas seen him rap. And he could have did that shit with anybody, but he fucked with me on it. So I'm like, forever grateful for that opportunity.
[00:01:03] Speaker A: Now, I think you now, I don't know. Me and Silas always talk about you as being one of the people who are probably somebody everybody should tap in with from a rap perspective. I wanna. I wanna just. I mean, I want you to rap. You here to rap. But I also wanna. I don't wanna overlook that because I always talk about people. Always talking about, oh, this person wrote this. This person wrote that. Like, I'm a fan of collaborative music because you get the best music. Like, if one person is in the room, I always tell people, bro, you are not hov. Like, don't go in that room by yourself thinking you finna make empire state of mind, and that ain't who you are. You know what I'm saying? The music has always been collaborative. There's somebody playing the drums, there's somebody playing the guitar, there's somebody playing the keys, there's somebody. It's a band for a reason. And so I just wanted to, and I wanna encourage artists, like, don't be in the studio thinking that you could do it all by yourself. Cause even you don't. You know what I'm saying? You got the easty boys.
[00:01:54] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: Not even just, like, on a rapper standpoint, but just creatively.
You're very creative.
[00:02:01] Speaker C: Yeah. I was literally about to say, like.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: Concepts and things like that.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: Right. So sometimes you might not even just necessarily, like, somebody has to write a lyric for you. It might just be like, conversation. Cause I'm not, like, muster was definitely around. Like, he was definitely involved, you know, in that and other things that we've done, you know, I think that's the shit. The difference is, it's a difference between being in a room working with people or somebody. Y'all might have conversations that spark songs. That's different than you just at the house chilling and somebody's in the studio writing raps for you, and then you pull up and then just record the raps. Like, that's not. That's a little different, you know? But I think the process, you should share with trusted people. Like, I understand. Like, I used to make my own beats first. My older brother was producing for me. Then I started making my own beats. And then when I met the easty boys, I realized, hey, I'm really good at rapping, so I'm gonna let y'all do that. There's things that I could.
I could help. Like, the first song I dropped when I signed was all I know, like, I'm playing the lead synth on that song, like, on that beat, and there's certain records that I might move certain shit around, or they might have started with the hook, and I'm like, no, no, no. That part right there, that's what I need to be rapping over. But I'm not sitting in front of this shit trying to just be JFK, when JFK can be JFK, you know, I'm not a singer, so even if I even just fuck around, like, the song selfish on read the room, like, if I'm just holding a note, you're going to hear major doing backgrounds behind it, because I know I'm not that. So instead of me just trying to be like, nah, fuck that. I'm going to just go be the nigga that sing it, it's like, nah, I'm going to call the person that you know, that's my favorite singer. Like, I'm gonna call major. Like, major knows how to make me sound decent.
[00:03:49] Speaker A: So, hey, man, listen, music is collaborative. Don't be afraid of it. That, I bet is out. Bet it back.
[00:03:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:03:56] Speaker A: What's the date again?
[00:03:58] Speaker C: September 6.
[00:03:59] Speaker A: September 6. Bet it back. Make sure you go get that. Run that up. But you here to rap. And actually, when I text you, last time you rapped on my show, it was myself and Boulead Kev. Last time you rapid. I also want to point out, shout out to Kev. He actually didn't know, right? He didn't want to have you up and rap, you know what I'm saying? Because he didn't know. And I'm like, I'm telling you, he.
[00:04:19] Speaker B: Didn'T know who he was fucking with.
[00:04:20] Speaker A: He didn't know who he was fucking.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: Now he fucked around and found out.
[00:04:22] Speaker C: Cause this thing got us. My boy and I done went to Cav pock ash and rapped and all type of shit.
[00:04:28] Speaker B: Nigga, cash is the person that I know. I'm putting something together. I'm calling. He got two tracks on my mixtape.
[00:04:34] Speaker A: Yeah, okay.
[00:04:35] Speaker B: Yeah, I know he's gonna be the one who fuck it up.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: Well, you here to do a thing, and so I'm gonna get out the way and let you do what you do and, you know, bet it back. Better put it all on the line.
