[00:00:44] Speaker A: And you say you've been having energy. That's why I've been.
[00:00:45] Speaker B: I've been having too much energy.
[00:00:47] Speaker A: Too much energy.
[00:00:48] Speaker B: Yeah. So I'm a late owl. A night owl.
[00:00:51] Speaker A: Night owl.
[00:00:52] Speaker B: I go to sleep around 3am, 4, sometimes. Sometimes 5am and I'm still up at 7am every day.
[00:01:00] Speaker A: Energized.
[00:01:01] Speaker B: Energized.
[00:01:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:01:02] Speaker B: I had to put myself down last night. I had to eat a little gummy. I ate a little gummy.
[00:01:06] Speaker A: Little gummy.
[00:01:07] Speaker B: Little gummy.
[00:01:07] Speaker A: Not to be confused with a big gummy.
[00:01:09] Speaker B: Yeah, little gummy.
[00:01:09] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:01:10] Speaker B: I don't really like big gummies, though.
[00:01:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:01:13] Speaker B: You know.
[00:01:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:01:16] Speaker B: Don't bring me no gummy. But I had a little gummy and I had to put myself down just so I can get some rest.
[00:01:22] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:01:22] Speaker B: Cause we've been outside.
[00:01:23] Speaker A: We've been outside for real. We gonna be talking about a lot of things this show. Gina Views and I have been outside. We were at the TDE Christmas holiday event. We also hung out with Snoop Dogg. Like, it's a lot going on. I will say this, though, okay?
It's not all sunshine out here in la. I know across the country it's been raining. I know some of our listeners in New York, they was complaining about the rain this past week. It's cold. Like, it's officially for real. This shit winter out here.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: This is the first season that I have to actually purchase jackets. I don't have jackets. You know, I be outside naked.
[00:01:59] Speaker A: Yeah, that's true.
[00:02:01] Speaker B: I'm buying jackets these days. Shout out to our marathon family.
[00:02:05] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: Keeping me snuggle. You know, this. That $1,500 jacket that niggas can't get.
[00:02:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
Talk that talk.
Speaking of family, we were at the TDE Holiday celebration. I want to talk about that right after this. But before we do, shout out to Big X the Plug, the largest. We got that. For your listening pleasure. And some Jack Harlow. We'll be right. We'll be back right after this. Talk about this.
[00:02:26] Speaker C: TDE holiday party, effective immediately, with DJ Head and Gina Views.
[00:02:31] Speaker B: Like, you put these glasses on. He start talking like ti. He's just using big words for nothing on Hip Hop Nation.
[00:02:37] Speaker A: Lil Baby Touchdown on your radio. It's effective immediately. I'm DJ Head.
[00:02:41] Speaker B: I'm Gina Views.
[00:02:42] Speaker A: Shout out to Lil Baby. But even bigger, shout out to our TDE fam. Shout out to Top Dog Entertainment. They threw their annual holiday Christmas event. And, man, it was packed. It was stupid packed.
[00:02:55] Speaker B: It was so packed.
[00:02:56] Speaker A: Gina Views and I were out there. Gina Views had on the big red boots.
[00:03:00] Speaker B: And I had them on the wrong foot.
[00:03:01] Speaker A: You did? I was.
[00:03:03] Speaker B: I had them on the wrong foot.
[00:03:04] Speaker A: Somebody caught that. What's so funny is somebody caught it on the timeline.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: When we got out the car, I said, hey, do I got my shoes on the wrong foot? But we had to hurry up and get in. So we were just walking and somebody gonna comment and say, are your shoes on the wrong foot?
[00:03:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:03:16] Speaker B: Yeah, nigga. They.
[00:03:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
It was your first event.
[00:03:22] Speaker B: That was my first TD Christmas.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: Your first TDE Christmas.
[00:03:25] Speaker B: And I remember. I think they said this, the 11th one.
[00:03:27] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:03:28] Speaker B: I remembered, like, the years prior where I would see it on the timeline and I would be jealous that I'm not there. Cause I would never know about it until I see it on the timeline. I felt so good being there. We saw Dochi Shout out to Dochi Glorilla perform. Shout out to my girl Lili Baby. She performed. Shukara was out there. Kendrick Lamar got on stage and was squabbling up with the kids.
[00:03:47] Speaker A: RJ, Mr. LA Lefty Gunpl. Like, it was. It was an event. SZA. Yes, SZA. I've never. Now, I don't want to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, but it's something about sza. Whatever she does to women. Like, I've never seen no shit. Like, I think it's reminiscent of what my mom used to tell me about Whitney Houston. Like, I've never seen women react this way to another woman ever.
[00:04:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:14] Speaker A: Like, the way she just hypnotizes y'all and is able to sing, and every woman is somehow transformed into this. Yeah, I've been through that too, bitch. It's like, really?
[00:04:25] Speaker B: But she's so relatable.
[00:04:26] Speaker A: Is that what it is?
[00:04:27] Speaker B: She's so relatable. Sza, I feel like, creates the soundtrack for a lot of women's lives. SZA gave me a song forever, which is Go Gena.
[00:04:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:04:36] Speaker B: You know, like, I got a song forever from Sza. So she's one of those girl. Like, she's a girl's girl.
[00:04:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay.
[00:04:43] Speaker B: I think that's what it is that she does for the females.
[00:04:45] Speaker A: Something that people don't know about the TDE holiday event every year is not only does it bring in a lot of like, obviously toys and revenue and notoriety to the. To the Nickerson Gardens projects, but. And Top Dog is not gonna say this on. Out of his own mouth, but I'll say it. You know, I have it on. I have knowledge about other things that go on. But Top does it in his home projects, which is the Nickerson Garden projects. But he does donate to the other two projects in Watts, the Jordan down housing projects and then also the Imperial Courts projects as well. Like, he has looked out and does donate to the other projects that exist in Watts too. So although the intention is all in the Nickersons for these events, like, he does spread the love to the other projects in Watts too, which is super commendable if you know, you know, you know what I mean? So I think that that's dope. And then on the other thing, when it comes to these events, there are community people who are the security. Like, these aren't like the sheriff, don't get me wrong, the police was there. Police was everywhere. You know what I'm saying? But the people who are working the barricades and the people who are working the stage, and these are like the homies, they got yellow shirts on, but they are community leaders and they are the ones in control of the flow and everything. And it's all love. It ain't never no problem. It ain't never 11 years. It's never been a problem. Top got the key to the city before that. J Rock got the key to the city, brought a Grammy to the Watts. It's just like it's really dope to see what they've been able to create.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: Yeah, shout out to td.
[00:06:20] Speaker A: Shout out to td. And also the kids that was on stage dancing with Dot was kind of interesting because, like, they didn't want to get off the stage. And I don't blame them.
[00:06:30] Speaker B: Those kids warmed my heart.
[00:06:31] Speaker A: They was low key, fighting with grown ass niggas for the stage. They're like, hey, get out the way. Let the kids have the stage, bro. But shout out to tde, man. Anyway, we got some more music on the way. We're gonna be talking about some more stuff for you. Da Baby Fat. That's one of my favorite songs out right now. Right after this. Meg, Thee Stallion and Flo Millie is effective immediately on Hip Hop Nation.
[00:06:50] Speaker C: Effective immediately with DJ Head and Gina.
[00:06:53] Speaker A: Views boss man DLo on your radio. The biggest part two. It's effective immediately on Hip Hop Nation. I'm DJ Head.
[00:06:59] Speaker B: What's up, y'all? It's your favorite Homegirl, Gina views 2024.
[00:07:02] Speaker A: It is officially 10 years removed from 2014 Forest Hills Drive. I can do math. Okay, basic math, but I can do it. Ten years removed from J. Cole's classic album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, the one where he's sitting on the roof with his feet dangling.
To me, obviously it's my favorite J. Cole product. I think it's everybody's favorite J. Cole product.
[00:07:22] Speaker B: Definitely my favorite one.
[00:07:23] Speaker A: I mean, except for the purists.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: Well, what I do like Leatherman, Jackie J. Cole.
[00:07:28] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: I like Leatherman Jackie J. Cole. I like J. Cole. Before the Dreads.
[00:07:31] Speaker A: You do? Yeah, this was before the Dreads. He had the little mini. He had the little mini fro.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: Oh, oh, okay. I'm thinking of.
[00:07:42] Speaker A: The warmup.
[00:07:43] Speaker B: The warmup. Oh, I'm thinking.
[00:07:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that was before this, but.
[00:07:47] Speaker B: 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2,. One, two.
[00:07:49] Speaker A: To celebrate the ten year anniversary of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole put out a ten year anniversary edition. An additional eight new unreleased songs from the sessions that he was recording. This album. Super dope to me to see this, but it kind of reminds me of the hundred gigs thing just a little bit, you know what I mean? Where it's like, hey, remember why y'all fuck with me now? I don't know if. So I have two opinions. One is, hey, remember why y'all fuck with me? I'm still J. Cole. Or this part of the rollout where they got the podcast that him and Ibrahim are doing, him and his manager, his business partner. So hopefully it's part of the rollout for the big album that everybody been anticipating, which is the fall off.
[00:08:31] Speaker B: Or it's just been 10 years since the album came out and since everything was happening with Kendrick Lamar and Drake, he felt like now that it's died down, we can celebrate my album.
[00:08:42] Speaker A: Oh. So this probably could have been planned for earlier.
[00:08:45] Speaker B: It's 10 years. Like, people always do this, you know? So that's what I feel like. But that is one of my favorite songs on that from J. Cole is on that album. Wet Dreams.
[00:08:56] Speaker A: Yeah, Wet Dreams is fun.
[00:08:57] Speaker B: Wet Dreams is a banger.
[00:08:58] Speaker A: I like Wet Dreams. I think get off my Dick is my favorite song on that project.
[00:09:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: I like that one.
[00:09:06] Speaker B: The way that he's able to storyteller is amazing.
[00:09:09] Speaker A: Do you think J. Cole will probably be top? Well, who's a better storyteller than J. Cole?
[00:09:15] Speaker B: A better storyteller than J. Cole. J. Cole might be top.
[00:09:19] Speaker A: Joyner.
[00:09:20] Speaker B: Lucas.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: Joyner.
[00:09:21] Speaker B: Lucas. Joyner. Lucas. Fucking niggas up.
[00:09:23] Speaker A: Joyner Lucas is a great one.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: Yeah, but like if we even talking about that one song, Wet Dreams, who had the better first time losing my virginity song? IMX or J. Cole?
[00:09:35] Speaker A: Bro, it's J. Cole. I don't think there is any more losing my virginity songs.
[00:09:39] Speaker B: That's why I said IMX or J. Cole.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: Why ain't nobody checking for imx?
[00:09:44] Speaker B: That's a classic song. My very. On a house on a couch in your parents bedroom. Remember? Anyways, it was my first time. I was in my math class.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: Way better.
It's not even close. I don't even know.
[00:10:00] Speaker B: But don't do that because IMX was holding the first timers down for a long time. No, they wasn't.
[00:10:05] Speaker A: No? No.
[00:10:07] Speaker B: Well tell. Did you lose your virginity in 2014 then?
[00:10:09] Speaker A: No.
[00:10:10] Speaker B: So what was you listening to before that?
[00:10:12] Speaker A: Not that.
I don't think I've ever listened to an imx. Nothing. Okay, Captain.
[00:10:19] Speaker B: All because of you.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: Shout out to imx. Love the homies.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: Shout out to imx.

[00:11:38] Speaker A: Well, we were outside.
The fact that you smelled weed. I mean, the fact that you.
[00:11:43] Speaker B: When it's loud, it's loud.
[00:11:44] Speaker A: The fact that you took in as much weed as you took in outdoors at Snoop's compound, It was like. I don't know. You know, I don't know if I'm starting to develop some sort of, like, not immunity, but, like, desensitization towards, like, weed smoke. But I don't feel like. I used to feel like I get high, like, contact high. Now I don't feel like that no more. Now it's more like it'd just be regular.
[00:12:08] Speaker B: How do you know when weed smokers are around?
[00:12:11] Speaker A: I see it.

[00:12:53] Speaker B: My eyelashes burnt off.
And then I said. Cause Salas was in the car, too. So that's our manager. I didn't want Salas to think I pooted because Silas was in the car with me, and it was in the car, and I just said straight up, hey, that wasn't me.

[00:16:31] Speaker B: It's not long enough. And I wonder when they realized it wasn't long enough, why didn't they pull it back up? Like, how did y'all get caught? [00:18:41] Speaker B: What's her name?
[00:18:42] Speaker A: Clarissa.
[00:18:43] Speaker B: Shout out. I do not want no smoke, bitch.
[00:18:44] Speaker A: Yeah, she can fight. She can fight.
[00:18:48] Speaker B: Hey, hey, bitch. Your beef with Remy, bitch. I don't want no smoke Field shields, bitch.
So for the people who don't know, if you remember, last year, Geechy Gotti battled Easy to Block Captain on Remy Ma's Chrome 23. It's a battle rapping shout out to Remy Ma for what she does for the battle rap community. Gaechee got on stage and tow that nigga up. And he got at Remy Matu about her fucking with Eazy, the block captain. Now, allegedly, during last year, supposedly Papoose socked out Eazy. Okay, so nobody was there. There's the people that was there. They not talking about it. But according to Geechee Gotti and his round Easy to Block Captain was in fetal position.
[00:19:33] Speaker A: Damn.
[00:19:34] Speaker B: For fucking with Remy Ma. Remy Ma. Okay, fast forward. It's battle rap. Like we been saying about this whole beef and stuff n say shit on stage. And it's not really, you know, like, confirmed or actual facts. I know. Geechee Gotti woke up last week and said, I told y'all niggas. Yeah, I told y'all because Remy Ma dropped some screenshots on her story with a conversation between Clarissa Shields and Papoose and allegedly or well, not allegedly, should have saw her there. The nigga fell asleep on the phone with the bitch and Remy, my house.
[00:20:10] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:20:10] Speaker B: And then she got the phone and went through the phone and seen everything and just was, like, posting shit.
[00:20:14] Speaker A: He fell asleep with.
[00:20:16] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:20:17] Speaker A: Oh, damn.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:20:18] Speaker A: You can't do that.
[00:20:19] Speaker B: So in all seriousness, this is messed up because they are the symbol of black love. We never saw this coming.
[00:20:26] Speaker A: He held her down while she was in jail.
[00:20:28] Speaker B: While she was in jail. They've been together for what, 17 years?
[00:20:30] Speaker A: But I also saw. Yeah, I also saw that Remy said that he wasn't loyal as people think he was while they were. While she was incarcerated.
I mean. I mean, what was sold in my.
[00:20:42] Speaker B: Niggas Cheat for Less.
I knew that.
[00:20:46] Speaker A: You knew?
[00:20:47] Speaker B: I thought that.
[00:20:49] Speaker A: Well, I mean, what was sold and marketed to me was that Papa was not doing that.
[00:20:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Cause black men don't cheat.
[00:20:54] Speaker A: Correct.
[00:20:55] Speaker B: Now, according to Remy Ma, that nigga was cheating.
[00:20:57] Speaker A: Damn.
[00:20:58] Speaker B: I don't know, but Remy Ma, it's.
[00:20:59] Speaker A: Unfortunate though, Cause they got kids and stuff and like, it's kind of messy.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: I hate to be in this group chat. I did not want to see Remy Ma crashing out on the Internet. And then. Oh, this the tea right here. Let me give you a cup full of somebody else business. The bitch, the boxer, she was engaged in January and she told Remy Ma happy New Year's.
What you mean they was DMing? Remy Ma was trying to style her and shit. Yeah. Oh, Remy the boxer. She posted a screenshot of Remy telling her, like, I'm so proud of you. A black woman, you dominating this field. Da da da da.
Yeah, it's plotting on her, nigga, I don't want no smoke.
Make sure you put that part in the clip.
[00:21:47] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't want none of that. We cool.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: I don't want to beef with neither one of them bitches.
[00:21:52] Speaker A: Okay, Future Travis Scotts from Glow. Really sexy Red. Right after this, it's effective immediately.
[00:21:57] Speaker C: Effective immediately. With DJ Head and Gina Views.
[00:22:01] Speaker A: LG Malik on your radio. Shout out to that acknowledgement. It's DJ Head.
[00:22:04] Speaker B: I'm Gina Views.
[00:22:05] Speaker A: Yes. Effective immediately on Hip Hop Nation.
We gotta talk about something that kind of took everybody by surprise. Okay. The UnitedHealthcare CEO was blatantly murdered in cold blood in front of everybody. Well, not necessarily in front of everybody, but basically it was. Their surveillance footage was terrible. Like to just see. Just to see that. And also after it happened, okay, it was like social media firestorm. It went everywhere. As far as this white dude, how he looks with this hoodie on with his backpack. They allegedly found the backpack in the park. Has like, allegedly has some monopoly money in it. What does it all mean?
All is to find out. It's this 26 year old dude who was just randomly on bullshit. And I remember when it first happened, there was speculation that it would be like it was some sort of a conspiracy, like a protest assassination or something like that. And so come to find out, this 22 year old is being prosecuted with the murder one in the assassination of the United Healthcare CEO. And it's a really unfortunate situation.
[00:23:19] Speaker B: What I found was crazy, is that people are talking about him like he's a hero.
[00:23:25] Speaker A: The shooter?
[00:23:26] Speaker B: Yes. Oh, I didn't see his followers went up. I wanna say he went from like 300 followers to like 300,000 followers on Twitter. Yeah, like people are looking at him as a hero.
[00:23:36] Speaker A: And another thing, like we've been seeing all this year, a lot of tragedies have Happened. You know what I'm saying?
Well, not. It's not. I won't say a lot of tragedies have happened. A lot of things have happened culturally that probably are tragedies, you know what I'm saying?
Auntie didn't get voted into the White House. Drake tried to rap against Dot. Like, a lot of things have happened.
[00:23:55] Speaker B: That was tried.
[00:23:57] Speaker A: It was just devastating, you know what I'm saying, For this year.
But social media don't take shit serious.
[00:24:03] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. They don't take nothing serious.
[00:24:06] Speaker A: I still see memes from the submarine.
Like, in real life, new memes. These are brand new memes.
[00:24:13] Speaker B: Now. The niggas in the submarine didn't take life serious.
[00:24:16] Speaker A: I don't have a comment on that.
[00:24:17] Speaker B: They didn't. But they didn't. They did some bullshit.
[00:24:20] Speaker A: I don't have no comment on that.
[00:24:22] Speaker B: But this. I don't think it's nothing funny about anybody losing their life. Um, but the way social media work.
[00:24:29] Speaker A: They don't give a fuck.
[00:24:29] Speaker B: They don't give a fuck. I saw a Tweet that said McDonald's CEO brought the McRib back. Cause he didn't want to be next.
[00:24:36] Speaker A: Damn.
[00:24:36] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:24:37] Speaker A: That is crazy.
[00:24:38] Speaker B: That's crazy. And then when Instagram was down, niggas was like, dude, they got a CEO like y'all.
[00:24:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:43] Speaker B: Mark Zuckerberg, if the CEO.
[00:24:45] Speaker A: Not like that.
[00:24:46] Speaker B: Yeah, that was crazy.
That was crazy.
[00:24:49] Speaker A: Not like that.
[00:24:50] Speaker B: If something happens to a CEO of a company, the company is still going to run normal operations. Like, it's not going to change anything. You're not. That's. That's not justice.
[00:24:58] Speaker A: Correct.
[00:24:59] Speaker B: It's not justice, but. Dj, had I a question for you.
[00:25:01] Speaker A: What?
[00:25:02] Speaker B: Who's a C. What's a company that has a CEO that you won't smoke with?
[00:25:06] Speaker A: That I won't smoke with? Yeah, just smoke with. And I don't want the implication of.
[00:25:10] Speaker B: No, no, not. Not that far.
[00:25:11] Speaker A: Tragedy.
[00:25:12] Speaker B: Not that far. You just don't smoke with them.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: Who. What CEO do I want smoke with?
[00:25:20] Speaker B: I won't smoke with the T Mobile CEO.
[00:25:22] Speaker A: Why?
[00:25:23] Speaker B: Because my service was down for like, a whole three days in my apartment.
Fixed my bill too high.
[00:25:31] Speaker A: Yeah. You know what? The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, like, no, no, no.
[00:25:37] Speaker B: I fuck with them. Cause I ain't paying my bill in, like a year.
[00:25:40] Speaker A: All right. I don't know. You know what I'm saying?
[00:25:44] Speaker B: Bill about 3,000.
[00:25:45] Speaker A: Yeah. So anyway.
[00:25:46] Speaker B: But why you won't smoke with her?
[00:25:48] Speaker A: My bill be stupid.
[00:25:50] Speaker B: So you're using it, bro. You're using the service.
[00:25:56] Speaker A: All I'm doing is I'm using a little bit of Internet and microwaving the fuck out of some shit, you know what I'm saying? I don't know what you talking about.
[00:26:06] Speaker B: Microwaving the fuck out of some shit. It's crazy.
[00:26:08] Speaker A: That radiation running my bill up, you know what I'm saying?
[00:26:12] Speaker B: You won't smoke with the CEO.
