Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ head.
[00:00:02] Speaker B: What up, world? It's your favorite homegirl, gene of youth.
[00:00:04] Speaker A: All right, now, hip hop nation. I'm surprised that you can hear us and see us right now, because a lot's been going on. We've been having technical difficulties across the country. It seems like ever since.
Ever since. I was gonna call him Tutrump. Have you seen that meme of him dressed like Tupac?
[00:00:20] Speaker B: Yeah, tutramp is.
[00:00:25] Speaker A: Ever since two Trump got shot at, things have been crazy in the United States of America. We had a global it outage.
[00:00:31] Speaker B: Well, you know, Ann, there's outages.
It always affects the wrong stuff. Bills are never canceled.
It was a Microsoft outage, and Microsoft people were still at work. Cause teams were still working.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: Teams was still working.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: Teams was working.
[00:00:47] Speaker A: Yeah, hip hop was definitely affected. The homie DJ era, he DJ's for Lil Jon. And Sammy was stuck in the airport for two days. I seen mega stallion affected Lakia also. Who else did I say? There was somebody else that was affected because of this. Oh, schoolboy Q. His show was rescheduled out in Chicago. A lot of people were blaming it on Drake. Has nothing to do with Drake, okay? His show was rescheduled because of the airport. And I saw hella people. I don't want to say what rapper I thought it was, but I saw hella people in Atlanta airport for three days.
[00:01:19] Speaker B: Was it Delta? Yeah, I saw a video of people, like, sleep on the floor, and there was, like, long lines. There was actually a long line of just luggage, unclaimed luggage, just outside.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: Really?
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:30] Speaker A: It might be a lick in there.
That's crazy.
[00:01:34] Speaker B: Yeah. So what we finna play was. I shouldn't have said that was coming up.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: I shouldn't have said that.
[00:01:39] Speaker B: What you about to put in rotation?
[00:01:40] Speaker A: Yo? I shouldn't have said that. That was out of pocket. But anyway, there's a lot been going on with this. Now, here's my question to you. If you were to sleep in the airport, what's the most comfortable way to sleep in the airport? Because me, I like to make a pallet on the floor, but by the window, where ain't nobody standing, where there's not a lot of foot traffic.
[00:01:59] Speaker B: I'm not laying on the floor, so I've actually slept in the airport before.
[00:02:02] Speaker A: What's the most comfortable spot?
[00:02:04] Speaker B: I sat in a chair, and I mean, not a chair, but, you know, the regular. The regular seating. And I sat right in front of the terminal because my flights kept getting delayed. Delayed, delayed so I'm like, I want to be here when the flight attendant and all them get here.
[00:02:18] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:02:18] Speaker B: So I sat right there. I had my blanket wrapped on me, and I just kicked my legs up on my luggage, on my carry on.
[00:02:24] Speaker A: So just sitting in the seat is probably the most comfortable.
[00:02:26] Speaker B: Sit in the seat. And I need to be right next to an outlet.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: You know what the most slept on place in the airport is? Is the little lounges that they be having, because they don't really be checking like that. Like, if you go to where the flight, not the delta.
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Oh, not literally slip on. You saying just slept on.
[00:02:41] Speaker A: Oh, that was a bar. That's hip hop. No, I'm talking about. I'm talking about the little lounge areas where the crew goes, okay, they got more cushion on the seats. Pro tip for you. Anyway, got some mustard, pure water, and some eminem. Coming right after this million dollar baby from Tommy Richmond is hip hop nation effective immediately? Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm dj head.
[00:03:03] Speaker B: What up, Brody? Favorite homegirl. Gene abuse.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: Lot's been going on. A lot of leakage happening out here. Apparently. That was crazy.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: That was crazy.
[00:03:11] Speaker A: That was crazy.
[00:03:11] Speaker B: Yeah. Add your context.
[00:03:13] Speaker A: Go ahead, go ahead.
Apparently, I'm to blame for big Sean getting his album leaked. That's what the Internet and the streets has been telling me. I'm assuming responsibility for that.
[00:03:22] Speaker B: Well, the tweet literally said, blame DJ blowjob.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: PB.
[00:03:29] Speaker B: Insert tweet. Blame DJ blowjob for us leaking your album, big Sean. That's what the tweet said. Okay, I read that tweet. Okay, you read that tweet?
[00:03:38] Speaker A: No, you did.
[00:03:39] Speaker B: Cause sally sent it to the group chat, and then we talked about it last week. We was in this motherfucker. We was roasting head, y'all.
[00:03:45] Speaker A: Yo, well, big Sean, you know, big Sean experienced the leak, and now the homie, yay, Ty dollar sign just got leaked as well. There's a song future, and I don't want to say the name. Well, the song is. It's out there.
[00:03:59] Speaker B: It's already leaked.
[00:03:59] Speaker A: It's called promotion. And basically, I just called Ty, like, hey, like, I think y'all should get leaked.
[00:04:05] Speaker B: You know what I'm saying?
[00:04:06] Speaker A: He was like, what? He didn't even know. And so I played him his own shit on the phone on FaceTime, and he was like, oh, shit.
Yep, that's it. So apparently, the whole thing, well, part of it, I don't want to say what he said, but a lot of the project has been leaked because it.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: Was played at events.
[00:04:24] Speaker A: Yeah, they've been doing a lot of playback. You know, that's like a's thing. He books out these wild venues and he does playback for people. And then there are people who leaked.
[00:04:30] Speaker B: They did it at rolling loud, too. I know they did it in Vegas a couple times.
Drake and Yachty got leaked, too.
[00:04:36] Speaker A: Drake and Yachty got leaked?
[00:04:38] Speaker B: Yeah. And it's a banger.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: You like the song?
[00:04:40] Speaker B: I fuck with it.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: I think I like Drake's part of the song. I'm not a fan of, like, Yachty's part of the song.
[00:04:46] Speaker B: I was only talking about Drake. Sorry, Yachty. Damn. Drake said plot twist.
Drake said something like, you bragging about my bitch. Like, that's my only bitch you brag about. Fuck our bitch. Like my only bitch.
[00:04:58] Speaker A: Hey, listen, man, again, I've been saying this for the last three months. When the boy wanna rap, he rap. You know what I mean? He could rap.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: But apparently, though, this is a 2021 leak. So is he rapping like that this year or that year? Yeah.
[00:05:13] Speaker A: You don't say.
[00:05:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:15] Speaker A: But anyway, let us know what you think about all the leaks happening. Hit us up right now at effective immediately live. Got some lil baby coming right after this. Speaking of Drake, here's Kendrick Lamar. Not like us.
[00:05:25] Speaker B: Speaking of Drake is crazy.
[00:05:27] Speaker A: That was Rob 49 Cardi B. I'm dj head. It's effective immediately.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: DJ blow job.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: That's crazy. Crazy.
Just know.
[00:05:36] Speaker B: You wanna know what's crazy?
[00:05:37] Speaker A: What?
[00:05:38] Speaker B: I opened up my phone and Elliot is using the note.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: Elliot who?
[00:05:43] Speaker B: Elliott Wilson is using the note. And the note said, fuck charlamagne. And I'm like, hey, what's going on with your. What's up with your other co host?
[00:05:54] Speaker A: You just get right to the.
[00:05:55] Speaker B: You gotta get right to it.
[00:05:58] Speaker A: Okay, so apparently there's been a back and forth between the two homies. Okay. One is my brother. His name is Charlamagne. The guy, aka Lennard McKelvey, shout out to Charlamagne.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: He did bless the show. Yes. Come up here and do an interview with us.
[00:06:11] Speaker A: Yes, he did. And the other is Elliot Wilson, a self proclaimed goat. He says that himself, that he's the goat of this hip hop media shit. And Elliot basically took offense to what Charlamagne was saying on the brilliant idiots podcast, as far as Elliott didn't deserve to be number five on the hip hop media list for complex when they put their list out every year. And Charlamagne has some things to say about that and La didn't like it. That's pretty much. What happened?
[00:06:38] Speaker B: Okay, what are your thoughts on this?
[00:06:39] Speaker A: I don't know. Like, I think I'm like, why you sit up in your chair?
[00:06:44] Speaker B: Cause you thought you was Finna slide it. You saw that. Like, you thought you was finna just wiggle out of that, and that's what happened. N what you think about it? Effective immediately, nigga.
So with you, we give our take on everything else.
This motherfucker here, figure skater.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: I think Elliott is tripping, because the thing is, like, charlamagne has his opinion, right? And one thing I will say about Elliott is he always does have an opinion about everything, too. The thing is, I do think that Elliot has an opinion about things, but doesn't necessarily like opinions being made about him when it comes from reputable sources. And I've said this, you know, I said this to Elliott, but I. When it comes from reputable sources, I don't think he likes the critique that he gets. He'll accept it, but it's some. For some strange reason. Again, I have no idea why he takes this visceral reaction towards, you know, what charlamagne said. I don't know. I can't tell you what that is. Elliot would have to tell you what that is.
[00:07:47] Speaker B: Well, shout out to Charlamagne on that same episode. He did show us a lot of love.
[00:07:52] Speaker A: Yes, he did.
[00:07:53] Speaker B: He went on a ten minute rant about why complex should have you listed as a media personality. And I agree that you should be up there, and especially if their criteria was based upon a lot of things. But one of those things was people's involvement within the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, and you were the representative for the west coast as being the person who, you know, kind of spoke up. And then not only that, you had a set on the pop out show.
[00:08:20] Speaker A: Okay, I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't agree with, because Charlamagne was in the group chat going crazy before he went on the air with it. And he was saying to me that he thinks that based what you just said, right. That he reiterated that point. My only critique on that was I disagreed because the list is the list. I'm not tripping about being included. But then he said, no, you're not looking at it this the right way. You're the only media personality who had direct involvement in the moment.
[00:08:46] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:08:47] Speaker A: And so, you know, I had to stand down, you know, okay, fine. If you think I deserve to be on the list, cool. I'm not really tripping, but, yeah, let.
[00:08:53] Speaker B: People give you your flowers when we trying to give them. Cause you just said the same shit I said and then explained it. You that nigger. And you needed to be on that list, okay? Period.
Charlamagne also shouted me out on that episode.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: Yes, he did.
[00:09:05] Speaker B: Thank you to my goat.
But, yeah, I didn't. My biggest issue with this whole back and forth and I won't smoke and all of that is that you guys are the people that we're looking up to, and then these are the people who we're putting on the pedestal. And if I see an Elliott going out of Charlemagne in ten years, I don't need to be going out of Nalae or Tally. You know, like, they have to be better examples to me for what you are supposed to do once you reach that level.
[00:09:32] Speaker A: And to be fair, Charlamagne reached out, invited Elliot up to the breakfast club or brilliant idiots.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: And then Elliott tweeted, I passed on both. Yeah, that nigga tripping.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: Yes. I don't know.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: Shout out to Elliot.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: We'll get Elliott's official statements, I'm sure, very soon on the bigger picture. So shout out to that. All right, hip hop nation, got some Travis Scott coming your way. Also some cash cobain, ice spice, right after this NLE chopper. It's effective immediately.
Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ Hebb.
[00:10:00] Speaker B: I'm Gina views.
[00:10:01] Speaker A: All right, now, Gina Views was getting toted around town in celebration.
[00:10:05] Speaker B: The correct word is chauffeured.
[00:10:06] Speaker A: Chauffeur ed around town, and I was.
[00:10:08] Speaker B: Being chauffeured by eagle and son. Shout out to blass's car service.
[00:10:13] Speaker A: Okay, what was that about?
[00:10:14] Speaker B: So blass pretty much got important people like me, important people like myself, along with Tali Spencer. And the car was filled with other important people. But we talking about me and Tali right now, okay? And we just cruised around the city listening to the project. We had the blasting loud. We had these big old blast flags. We went to, like, Hollywood Boulevard. We went to Leimert. We went to Inglewood. And, yeah, we were just listening and vibing to the album.
[00:10:43] Speaker A: So you gonna skip the part where you stuck your ass out the window and was shaking it?
[00:10:47] Speaker B: Okay. You got proof of that?
[00:10:50] Speaker A: Is this video? I saw the video. What you mean?
[00:10:53] Speaker B: Hey, I was just grooving to the homie project, okay?
I might have had a little advantage. Cause I had already heard the project before everybody else, and like I told you, we knew it. Now, I always say the name wrong. He know I say the name wrong. I told him, this is what I'm calling the song that bad, bittye. How many can I fit inside a black truck? That mess. Bang. So. But, yeah, and I thought that was a dope concept. Blast is marketing, and his rollouts are.
[00:11:22] Speaker A: Always very, very creative, and it's super unique every time. Like, I remember the last one was, like, he had got this airplane hanger, and it was crazy, like, shout out.
[00:11:30] Speaker B: To the eagle team. Shout out to Vic. Shout out to breezy. They just do, like, a really phenomenal job of being creative during the whole rollout season. I feel like they need to start. I don't know what they're doing, but outside of just working with blass and working on blast stuff, blass and his team need to be the creator for a lot of other artists.
[00:11:50] Speaker A: I think they need to do that, and I think Dave free, PG Lane could do that too. I told Dave that too, actually. Like, they should start selling their services to other artists. They can use it.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: And then it's also the chauffeur and the whole chauffeur service. It ties back into the name of the project. I always can find you.
[00:12:07] Speaker A: Mm. Go get that new blast. I'll always come find you. We've been playing the hell out of them records up here. I got some cardi b coming right now. And some 21 savages. Hip hop nation effective. Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ Hebb.
[00:12:19] Speaker B: I'm Gina. Views.
[00:12:20] Speaker A: All right.
There's a lot going on as far as political climate. You know, there's people being shot at. There's old men dropping out of races.
[00:12:32] Speaker B: People dying in front of us.
[00:12:33] Speaker A: It's a lot going on out here. Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential campaign trail, and Kamala Harris looks like she will be the first woman to ever take the office. I mean, Hillary ran, but I mean, you know, Trump watched her by a little bit. Not a lot. But Kamala Harris is a black woman from the Bay area and went to a HBCU.
[00:12:57] Speaker B: Kamala from the bay.
[00:12:58] Speaker A: She from the west coast. You goddamn right.
[00:13:00] Speaker B: Oh, we need that w we need that w bad. We need that w bad. I seen a tweet that said, whose name starts with Kaden is winning this year. Kendrick Kamala. It was one more person on there. Kat Williams. Kat Williams kicked it off. Kat Williams. Kendrick Kamala. I need that. W where Kyle Williams from?
[00:13:23] Speaker A: Kat Williams. He from the midwest.
[00:13:25] Speaker B: Well, he from west something. He from all over, but he from west something.
[00:13:29] Speaker A: Yeah, we need.
[00:13:31] Speaker B: And. And he fostered children that went to Crenshaw High.
[00:13:35] Speaker A: Facts.
[00:13:36] Speaker B: Yeah, that's yeah, we need that. W. That's. That's what I claim.
[00:13:40] Speaker A: You claim? Yeah.
[00:13:41] Speaker B: Cat is ours.
[00:13:43] Speaker A: Okay. So you gonna claim the White House cat Williams, all in the same rap, rap, hip hop. Okay.
[00:13:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:52] Speaker B: 2024 is our year.
[00:13:53] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:54] Speaker A: So there's a little. There's been people who are pushing back against this because they're saying that we don't need Kamala Harris. That's the proper way to say her name, Kamala Harris, to be our president, because she didn't necessarily win an election. You know what I mean? She's just kind of, like, by default, Joe Biden stepped down, and she's now getting the slot.
[00:14:15] Speaker B: That's how it works, right?
[00:14:16] Speaker A: That is how it works.
[00:14:17] Speaker B: I seen White House down, and the vice president was instantly the president.
When they thought the president died on White House down. That's how it goes.
[00:14:30] Speaker A: My own personal thought is, I just think it's dope, you know, to even see this to be a possibility. You know, our manager, Salas, he got two daughters, and they two black women, and this is gonna be the first time that she's his. One of his daughters is ever gonna be able to vote, and she could possibly vote for a black woman, which is crazy when you think about it. I thought when Obama. I watched the Obama inauguration with my little brother, 2008. Yes. I watched it with my little brother. We were young, and he was young, but we watched it together, and it was just like, he was like, I could do that. And I was like, yeah. And it was crazy to even say that to my little brother. But now there are a whole bunch of little black girls, like Gina views, who are gonna. Who seeing what's going on right now. Like, oh, I could possibly do that. I think that's super dope.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: And I saw a lot of, um. A lot of people not liking this and frowning upon it, and this just made me just gave more of assurance to. The black woman is the least protected and respected species ever.
[00:15:24] Speaker A: Yeah. The country definitely don't fuck with black women.
[00:15:26] Speaker B: The country does not fuck with black women. People who dislike Trump will rather vote for Trump and have him win than to see Kamala in office just cause she's a black woman.
[00:15:35] Speaker A: That's a fact. The United States do not fuck with black women. Yeah, take that to the bank.
Anyway, Cardi B coming right now. It's effective immediately on hip hop. Yo. It's effective immediately. I'm dj head.
[00:15:46] Speaker B: I'm Gina views.
[00:15:47] Speaker A: All right, got some glorilla coming up. But before that, Tory Lanez apparently is still putting out music.
[00:15:55] Speaker B: Tory think he shine sitting in my cell head about the burst. I'd be alive if I didn't shoot first.
[00:16:03] Speaker A: Tory is dropping music during his internment. Do you know what internment is? We don't cover that for word of the day. But during his internment, he's dropping some music, and I. People are having mixed reactions to it on social. Are you looking forward to a Tory Lanez project while he's behind bars?
[00:16:20] Speaker B: No, I'm not.
I've actually been amazed by what people in jail can do. Cause Suge Knight has a whole podcast from Jill. It's genius, right? It's genius.
I just don't think that Tory Lane should do any more taunting of his victim. And I'm not saying that that's what he's gonna do. Maybe he's looking for ways to have more income or something like that. But if his angle is to cause the project he dropped before, he was kind of talking about the whole relationship. So if his angle is to do that again, he can keep that shit. Like, I don't wanna hear why you should be free on this damn new jail project.
[00:17:00] Speaker A: Nah, I agree with you. I agree with that because, you know, the subject matter does play a role in it.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: That's the thing. What are you talking about?
[00:17:08] Speaker A: Like. Yeah, what are you gonna be talking about? Well, you know, thug young thug dropped. What did he drop? Business's business while he was behind bars. It's not the same, though, right?
[00:17:17] Speaker B: No, it's not the same. Draco dropped a project, too, while he was in jail.
[00:17:21] Speaker A: He did?
[00:17:21] Speaker B: Yeah. And then, like, I did a callback to confessions. Shine did a verse from Jill or whatever. But the subject. The subject matter definitely plays a big part.
[00:17:29] Speaker A: It definitely matters. Anyway, hit us up. Let us know what you think. Should people be dropping music while they behind bars or have podcasts? Hit us up at effective immediately, live. All right, so muster Travis Scott right now. It's called parking lot on you. Yo. It's effective immediately. I'm dj head.
[00:17:44] Speaker B: I'm Gina views.
[00:17:45] Speaker A: All right. Word of the daytime. I used the word earlier in the show, Gina views.
I'm gonna ask you if you know what the word means. Okay, this word is called internment.
[00:17:55] Speaker B: Internment. Okay. So I'm gonna assume if I utilize my context clues that intermingle.
[00:18:02] Speaker A: Shout out to Washington.
[00:18:03] Speaker B: Shout out to Washington. I do have a bachelor's degree, too.
[00:18:05] Speaker A: You got a bachelor's degree? Don't. Do not let.
[00:18:08] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, nigga. Yeah, yeah, nigga.
And I graduated top of my class. In high school, too, but.
[00:18:16] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:18] Speaker A: Internment.
[00:18:18] Speaker B: Yearbook editor, yearbook editor, editor, leadership student body historian. But anyway, you referenced, we were talking about Tory Lanez, and you said during his internment.
[00:18:30] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:18:31] Speaker B: So I'm assuming that this has to do with incarceration, the time within him being in jail, or has something to do with something legally.
[00:18:41] Speaker A: Yeah. The state of being confined as a prisoner, especially for political or military reasons.
That's your celebratory dance?
[00:18:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm crumping right now for the listeners.
[00:18:51] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, there you go. I'm crumping for the listeners. It's crazy.
That's your word of the day. Hit us up, though, and let us know. You can hit me, Jhed.
[00:18:59] Speaker B: You can hit me everywhere at Gina views.
[00:19:01] Speaker A: Let us know what words we should add to this, because I tend to use words. And you know what? You're not the only one. People have been talking shit about me in my timeline.
[00:19:12] Speaker B: Really?
[00:19:12] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Because I use the other word. I use words on the bigger picture as well. And they like, yo, so do Elliot.
[00:19:19] Speaker B: And Jeremy know what those words are?
Jeremy should know.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: Jeremy be knowing.
[00:19:26] Speaker B: Cause he's white.
[00:19:28] Speaker A: Cause he's white.
[00:19:31] Speaker B: Yo, shout out to Jeremy.
[00:19:33] Speaker A: Wow. Oh, man. Got some Gucci manes from J. Cole. We gonna get some music. Okay. Gucci Mane, J. Cole coming right after this. Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi. It's effective immediately on hip hop nation.
Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ head.
[00:19:47] Speaker B: I'm Gina Buz.
[00:19:47] Speaker A: All right, now, your favorite comedian, his name is Drew Ski.
[00:19:51] Speaker B: Shout out to Drewski, man. And I'm so proud of everything going on with the whole coulda been community. He doing a coulda been fest.
[00:19:58] Speaker A: What the fuck is the coulda been community?
[00:20:00] Speaker B: Well, you know, he has a reality show.
[00:20:01] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:20:02] Speaker B: Called coulda been records.
[00:20:03] Speaker A: Coulda been records.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: And he has up and coming artists or, you know, up and coming aspiring artists.
[00:20:09] Speaker A: I wouldn't call him up and coming. They definitely down.
[00:20:11] Speaker B: And don't disown rappers. They got record deals. They got chains.
[00:20:15] Speaker A: Up and coming is crazy.
[00:20:15] Speaker B: They doing interviews.
[00:20:16] Speaker A: They down and going.
[00:20:17] Speaker B: That's what everybody else doing.
[00:20:18] Speaker A: They down and going.
[00:20:19] Speaker B: Down and going is crazy.
So the coulda been fest is happening in September in Atlanta. DC Young fly is the co host. 21 Savage is performing. Soulja boy is performing. Kai Sinat is involved. There's a lot of good things going on out there in Atlanta.
[00:20:38] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's dope for Drewski taking matters in his own hands and doing this because I know, like, he's been pushing his line for a long time. I personally am not a drusky fan. I just don't think he's funny, in my opinion. But, you know, everybody else does, so I support him.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: Yeah, he's funny. And it's also cool seeing that, like I said, him and DC young fly are doing this because I remember when they was just doing skits, and now they're all so successful. Like, this is amazing.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: So do you think there's a difference between doing skits and being a stand up comedian?
[00:21:10] Speaker B: I do think there's a difference, and it also seems like they're able to merge the two. Cause everybody who does stand up doesn't do skits, and everybody who does skits doesn't necessarily do stand up. But I feel like they're the new age of our eras of comedians. All of our comedians. Our comedians right now, this day, and this generation, the people that we're gonna look at, like you guys look at Richard Pryor, Kat Williams, and Kevin Hart, our people are gonna be the ones who's doing those skits.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:36] Speaker B: So even if you watch wild n out, most of those people, we know them from them doing skits, it's gonna.
[00:21:41] Speaker A: Be interesting to see how the skit culture translates to being old, because the older comedians, they start putting suits on, and they get on stage and do 1 hour specials.
Now, what do you look like at 50 doing a skit? Like, what does that look like? I would love to see you do.
[00:21:54] Speaker B: A 1 hour skit.
[00:21:56] Speaker A: 1 hour.
Yo, also, we got the mix coming up. I'm jumping on these turntables. Let me know what you want to hear in the mix, Ed. Or you can hit Gina.
[00:22:05] Speaker B: You can hit me at Gina views. But don't ask me to play your shit. Cause I don't got nothing to do with he playing over there.
[00:22:11] Speaker A: He also gonna have your immediate slap on the way. Three, 10, baby. Mustard, tyga. Everybody's on this soak city remix coming right after this. Central C and Lil baby. It's effective immediately. On hip hop nation.
Yo, it's effective immediately. I'm DJ head.
[00:22:26] Speaker B: I'm Gina views.
[00:22:27] Speaker A: That time of the show where we would like to highlight those records that we just appreciate. It's time for the immediate slap.
[00:22:32] Speaker B: Immediately Gina views. This song is called it's me by Ashley Armani, produced by DJ Mosky. And it's a banger.

[00:22:48] Speaker B: Y'all seen her on stage at the Super bowl, skating up there with Usher.
[00:22:52] Speaker A: Yes. And you saw her at the Vegas residency with Usher every night doing the thing. And she went viral a couple of times because then moves got a little sensual.

[00:23:03] Speaker A: Yeah. And she be seawalking in her skates.
