[00:00:04] Speaker A: That was at big dogs right here. It's hip hop nation. I'm dj head. [00:00:07] Speaker B: I'm Gina views. [00:00:08] Speaker A: Yes, it's effective immediately. And Uncle Luke is out here in these streets demanding his money. [00:00:13] Speaker B: He said he need the money, effective immediately. [00:00:17] Speaker A: Now, what happened? [00:00:18] Speaker B: Uncle Luke said, I spice made the stallion sexy red. He said, anybody that's bending over and shaking a rump owe him a check. [00:00:25] Speaker A: Popping pussy, all of that kind of stuff. [00:00:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:00:27] Speaker A: So the crazy part about it is, I could see where he's coming from. Uncle Luke. Luke endured a lot in the late eighties, early nineties. If you don't know who Uncle Luke is, do your googles, kids. [00:00:37] Speaker B: It's the birthday song. [00:00:38] Speaker A: It's a lot of them. You know what I'm saying? Coming like, look at you. Look at you. But, yeah, he's basically saying this because he kind of spearheaded and pioneered a movement of adult rap that had adult content, very x rated content in his music. And for those that don't know, Uncle Luke is also one of the people. Well, actually almost solely responsible. Him and two live crew, which is his group, for the parental advisory stickers that are shown on cds. Well, back in the day cds, but now on album covers and stuff like that, he was actually really fighting in the Supreme Court for the right to free speech and being able to make his music how he wants. So now, I guess, based on, you know, everything that's going on in female rap world, he wants to be paid some reparations for that. [00:01:30] Speaker B: I don't think that the artists who he mentioned on specifically are who owe him. [00:01:35] Speaker A: No. [00:01:36] Speaker B: Maybe he can get, like, a check from the state or something, like t card, you know, put some funds on it, a little SSI or something like that. [00:01:43] Speaker A: I think it would be equivalent to, like, one of my homies he had. He gets reservation money. You know what I'm saying? Like, the Native Americans. And because of what they went through, the white people give him a check. So I'm thinking maybe just overall, people who make music that wouldn't be considered kosher. Yeah, maybe he get a check from them. [00:02:03] Speaker B: Cause I would hate for whoever fought for women's rights to be wanting something out of my check. Imagine if the Malcolm X kids and Martin Luther King want some money from me. [00:02:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, Martin Luther King's son. He do be out here outside. We owe that nigga. What if. What if every time you want to. You know how the bus is set up? [00:02:22] Speaker B: I wish Rosa park would. [00:02:24] Speaker A: You know how, like, buses are set up? Like, what if you cross this line. You owe him some money. [00:02:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Rosa Parks people. [00:02:28] Speaker A: Rosa parks people. Or even just like it'd be crazy. Nah, I think Uncle Luke tripping. But I understand the sentiment. [00:02:35] Speaker B: I do get it. I think that he should just be paid. Like let's if we being serious to make it make sense. Maybe he gets a centenne for every album that the sticker is on. [00:02:46] Speaker A: That's more money than people make off streams. [00:02:48] Speaker B: Oh shit, I'm going too far. I'm reaching. I'm going too high. [00:02:51] Speaker A: Yeah, that's crazy. Cause like, you know, like YG just dropped the album. I'm pretty sure like he's being independent. He probably get about that for the stream. But like artists who are signing major labels, they don't even make that much money per stream. [00:03:03] Speaker B: But two, wouldn't that be something that would have been discussed like at that time because maybe they just didn't realize how big it was gonna get. That every artist after that point would utilize their right of free speech to speak explicitly on records. Maybe so he should have got. I feel like that should have been like a contract situation then you get what I'm saying. [00:03:22] Speaker A: I think it's a lot of things that they changed the law based around people who figure out certain things. Like even if you go as far back when Prince changed his name to a symbol and then sold every album for a ticket sale and he went platinum just doing tours to fuck over the music industry, I think they gonna figure out a way to get they money but never give it to us. [00:03:40] Speaker B: Well, I won't be shaking my ass no time soon. Cause I don't got no money to pay. Uncle Luke. [00:03:45] Speaker A: Shout out to Uncle Luke. Hit us up right now, effective immediately. Live. Join that group chat. Got some sauce, Walker. Coming up right after this. Gucci is hip hop nation injecting integrity. [00:03:55] Speaker C: And authenticity in the game. [00:03:57] Speaker B: You a freaky ass. You just got the condoms in it. [00:03:59] Speaker A: Hey, I can look at this right now and say head and Gina gonna work. [00:04:04] Speaker C: I'll kick the gangin the hottest hip hop along with exclusive premieres effective immediately with DJ head and Gina views like. [00:04:12] Speaker B: You put these motherfucking glasses on and he start talking like ti. He just using big words for nothing. [00:04:16] Speaker C: On hip hop nation. [00:04:19] Speaker A: I'm DJ Hebb. [00:04:20] Speaker B: I'm Gina views. [00:04:21] Speaker A: It's effective immediately on hip hop nation. Now, it's a lot going on in the culture right now, especially with female rappers. Okay. Glorilla is apparently changing the name. I mean, changing a word in her song after getting some backlash. I'm not a fan of this, but it has happened before. [00:04:37] Speaker B: Yeah. Beyonce did it as well. Lizzo did it. J. Cole did it on a song with Drake. [00:04:44] Speaker A: Well, yeah, Beyonce changed the word spaz. She took that out of. Was that the Renaissance album? [00:04:48] Speaker B: I think so. [00:04:49] Speaker A: So she took it. She took that out of her. Out of her record because of the able community. Basically, we're saying that that's used in a derogatory fashion. And so now glorilla is in the same boat. [00:05:02] Speaker B: Yeah, J. Cole did it. And he actually bodied when he said is. He said, check the numbers, dummy. I'm autistic. You n is autistic. Retarded. [00:05:11] Speaker A: It was actually hard as, like, rap bar. So. But here's the thing, right? Let's flip it on you. If somebody was to use, like, the n word in a derogatory way, we probably would feel a way. [00:05:24] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:05:25] Speaker A: You get what I'm saying? [00:05:26] Speaker B: But now this goes back to what we was just talking about with Uncle Luke and freedom of speech facts. So it's like we're drawing a line. I don't like that this new climate of social standards is drawing the line at certain words, but not derogatory words against women or, you know, black people. The same song that glorilla changed, took the word out. She's saying nigga and bitch and everything else in there. [00:05:48] Speaker A: Yeah. So then what if she. What if, like, bitch became one of those words? Like, we don't like to, like, we want to look out for the dog community? [00:05:56] Speaker B: If I can't say bitch no more. [00:05:58] Speaker A: Cause I be like, bitch, no, the dogs. The dogs are important. [00:06:01] Speaker B: The dogs start. What if the dogs start tripping on us? Who out here looking out for the dogs? Ain't nobody looking out for the dogs but Drake for the dogs. [00:06:10] Speaker A: Yeah, the Drake. Exactly. And Disney for making the movie. But I guess the question should be, like, should we be changing our music, even painting? Should we be changing poetry based on social climate? [00:06:25] Speaker B: It's just such a contradiction because. And this is way off. But there's a law. There's people who are in jail for marijuana. [00:06:35] Speaker A: Yep. [00:06:35] Speaker B: But now marijuana is legal. Do we go let all of those people out of jail? [00:06:39] Speaker A: Yes. [00:06:40] Speaker B: So do all artists need to go back and change every lyric and every song lyric from old music from back in the day? [00:06:48] Speaker A: That's a good point. But there is a. [00:06:50] Speaker B: So how far are we going? [00:06:51] Speaker A: I don't know. Because there is a song. There's an infamous, now legendary song called juicy by notorious b I g. And I play the song. Often when I'm doing events and stuff like that, and there's a line where he says, blow up, like the world trade. That part of the song is muted now pretty much on every version that's digital. Unless you had a hard copy from back in the day or vinyl or something like that. Then he actually says the lyric because it's being sensitive to New York and what 911 happened. So I don't know how far back we would go. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:07:20] Speaker A: But I do want some reparations for slavery, and I do want people who are in jail for marijuana to get out. [00:07:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:07:25] Speaker A: And petty crimes and stuff like that. And I want stop and frisk to be gone. So I don't know. [00:07:30] Speaker B: And I want to be able to, you know, go back and get my grades changed. [00:07:35] Speaker A: Because you identify as an A student. [00:07:37] Speaker B: Exactly. Because the sats and ca. All that shit, that don't matter. No, I got whoopings for not passing. [00:07:47] Speaker A: Excuse me. What is the. I identify as an A student and you can't tell me I'm not. [00:07:52] Speaker B: That's. [00:07:54] Speaker A: Hey, let us know. We wanna hear from you, hip hop nation. We wanna hear from the world. Tap in with us. Instagram, YouTube, all that good stuff. Let us know. Should we be changing things based on social climate change? Let us know. [00:08:04] Speaker C: It's effective immediately, injecting integrity and authenticity in the game. [00:08:09] Speaker B: You a freaky ass. You just got the Connors in it. [00:08:11] Speaker A: Hey, I can look at this right now and say, head and Gina gonna work. [00:08:18] Speaker C: Along with exclusive premieres, effective immediately with DJ head and Gina views. [00:08:24] Speaker B: Like, you put these motherfucking glasses on and he start talking like ti. He just using big words for nothing. [00:08:28] Speaker C: On hip hop Nation, the sound of the culture. [00:08:31] Speaker A: That was that lotto. That brokey right here on hip hop nation. I'm DJ head. [00:08:35] Speaker B: I'm Gina views and Lotto talking to y'all, brokey. All you unemployed people celebrating Labor Day weekend. [00:08:40] Speaker A: That's crazy. It's effective immediately. By the way, speaking of being brokey, Deion Sanders is out doing wonderful things in Colorado. Coach prime got Colorado players a partnership with elevation credit union, opening up an account for them, for their students and the football players. I'm sorry. For the players on his team in the amount of $2,121 each, which is a lot because hella niggas on a football team. [00:09:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:04] Speaker A: Okay. It's not like a basketball team where it's just. It's a small, like, what? 13 people football team. 13 people on one side of the line of scrimmage. Which is crazy. Shout out to coach Deion. I mean, I'm sorry, coach prime, though, because what he's doing in Colorado is unlike anything we've ever seen before. You know, a lot of people from the culture are going out there performing and stuff like that. I saw the baby go out there. Yg been out there. And I also saw this week Matt Barnes gave coach prime a lot of love on the timeline because people are trying to shoot him down for what he's doing with those kids. I mean, not those kids, those men. But I think it's important to note the positivity that's going on, though. [00:09:38] Speaker B: Right? Right. I would hope that more people would have take a page out of his book and do the same thing. [00:09:45] Speaker A: Me too. In college. [00:09:46] Speaker B: That's amazing. Yeah, I could have used with a kid, man. [00:09:49] Speaker A: I could have used that. [00:09:50] Speaker B: I'm struggling by myself. [00:09:53] Speaker A: Shout out to coach prime. Hit us up and let us know what are you doing for the community? If your platform is being used for good, let us know at effective immediately live. [00:10:01] Speaker C: Is hiphopnation injecting integrity and authenticity in the game? [00:10:05] Speaker B: You a freaky ass. You just got the condoms in it. [00:10:07] Speaker A: Hey, I can look at this right now and say, head and Gina gonna work. [00:10:14] Speaker C: Along with exclusive premieres, effective immediately, with DJ head and Gina views. [00:10:20] Speaker B: Like, you put these motherfucking glasses on, he start talking like ti. He just using big words for nothing. [00:10:24] Speaker C: On hip hop nation, the sound of. [00:10:27] Speaker A: The culture that ivory Scott on your radio is effective immediately. I'm DJ hit. [00:10:31] Speaker B: I'm Gina views. We gotta do a shout out real quick. Shout out to our girl flaw j. [00:10:36] Speaker A: Shout out to flaw j. [00:10:37] Speaker B: She did just pull up on us and we talked about her whole experience and working with Lil Wayne and performing in front of him at the SBS. [00:10:43] Speaker A: And she got a record and a video. [00:10:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:48] Speaker A: You know, a lot of people get features and don't get videos. [00:10:50] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:10:50] Speaker A: Show me somebody who got a video out of Beyonce or Jay Z or Kendrick Lamar. [00:10:55] Speaker B: Show me anybody that still is able to get Lil Wayne outside facts. You know, Lil Wayne don't come outside for anybody. [00:11:01] Speaker A: Shout out to flaw J. Who got that Lil Wayne feature, man. It's a big deal for her, especially being the LSU star. She is. [00:11:07] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:11:08] Speaker A: Also, we want to shout out to the legend, the radio goddess, the goat. The goat. One of the goats ever, man. Angie Martinez. I read her book, my voice. I didn't read it. I listened to the audiobook because I love her voice. But Angie Martinez is an author, but also Meghan Hart her directorial debut on a doc for the late, great, the infamous DJ Clark Kent. Okay, now, I think this is dope, because we see Charlamagne, what he's doing with his. With his book imprint, making his statements in other places. You know what I mean? I think it's important for everybody who's in media to kind of, like, grow and expand and stuff like that. So Angie Martinez becoming a director now, as well as everything else she does, I think, is super dope. [00:11:48] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shout out to Angie Martinez. I enjoy her. She had a show. She had a show where they were. It was like untold stories of hip hop. Do you remember that? I love that show. [00:11:59] Speaker A: No, my favorite Angie Martinez, that was dope. But my favorite Angie Martinez moment is her spitting the buster verse on the Chris Brown song. Look at me now. [00:12:08] Speaker B: I thought you just want to say her rapping on ladies night. [00:12:11] Speaker A: No, no, no. This was way better than that. But shout out to Angie Martinez. Tap in with us, though. [00:12:15] Speaker B: Djhed, you can find me everywhere at Gina views. [00:12:18] Speaker A: Yes. Right now we got some Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, offset all on your radio. It's effective immediately on hip hop nation. [00:12:24] Speaker C: Injecting integrity and authenticity in the game. [00:12:27] Speaker B: You a freaky ass. You just got your condoms in it. [00:12:29] Speaker A: Hey, I can look at this right now and say, hey. [00:12:35] Speaker C: The hottest hip hop, along with exclusive premieres, effective immediately with DJ head and Gina views. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Like, you put these motherfucking glasses on, he start talking like ti. He just using big words for nothing. [00:12:46] Speaker C: On hip hop nation, the sound of. [00:12:49] Speaker A: The culture that polo g, lil Durk on your radio is effective immediately. I'm DJ head. [00:12:55] Speaker B: I'm Gina views, man. [00:12:56] Speaker A: Before we get into keys, go listen to our. Or listen or watch our Apollo G interview. Gina views had him in here kikiing. [00:13:04] Speaker B: I'll make everybody kiki, though. I'm a kiki kind of bitch. [00:13:07] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? He stood that closer to you when we took the picture, so. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Yeah, I didn't notice. [00:13:11] Speaker A: You might have a little motion. [00:13:12] Speaker B: Where's the picture at? [00:13:13] Speaker A: You might have a little motion. [00:13:14] Speaker B: I got some motion. Paulo G might be too young for me. He a good looking nigga. Okay, so Alicia Keys had a question she wanted to know, and I want to ask you. You as my DJ friend, DJ head, Alicia Keys wanted to know, what the fuck does DJ's do? She had this to say, what the. [00:13:32] Speaker C: Fuck do DJ's actually do? [00:13:34] Speaker A: Like, I don't think they're remixing the. [00:13:37] Speaker B: Song on the spot. I'm pretty sure. [00:13:38] Speaker C: They've, like, programmed it ahead of time. [00:13:41] Speaker B: So what are they actually doing now? Social media drug. Alicia keys for this take. So when I saw the clip, I thought that she was saying, with the innovation of technology, what are DJ's these days doing? Not insinuating that DJ's don't do anything. [00:13:56] Speaker A: When I saw it, I thought it was AI. I didn't even. Your husband's a DJ. So I was like. When I saw it, I'm like, this gotta be made up. Like, this is not even when we first got here to work, I'm like, this ain't real. [00:14:07] Speaker B: But you did say it was AI. [00:14:08] Speaker A: I'm like, this shit is not real. [00:14:10] Speaker B: Well, it could be. Cause it's not on her TikTok anymore. [00:14:12] Speaker A: Well, yeah, of course you would delete some shit like that. You know what I'm saying? He probably came home like, nigga, it's showtime. Like, let me show you what a DJ. That's crazy. [00:14:21] Speaker B: It's showtime. Is crazy. Showtime. [00:14:24] Speaker A: Shout out to swizz beats. The thing is, here's the thing. And I will say this because a lot of. I don't want to make excuses, but a lot of people who call themselves DJ's have made it difficult. For real, DJ's, okay? And it's a lot of people running around the Internet. A lot of people running around clubs and venues all over the world calling themselves a DJ who don't do shit. [00:14:46] Speaker B: Okay? [00:14:47] Speaker A: They literally go in, they plug their usb in, they got a pre made set that somebody else made for them, and they just up there dancing. I know two. I've seen two women do this. I've never seen a guy do this, this. But I know men who do do it, right. I know. I'm sorry. I know men that do do it. They. This is the thing, right? Where they go in, they don't do shit. They. To be up there dancing and pumping a fist and stuff like that. Now, real DJ's Miss Alicia keys do do shit. [00:15:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:11] Speaker A: You know, I'm saying, we blend in. We read in crowds, we're counting tempo. Like all. It's a lot. It's a lot of science and nerdism that goes into djing, which is why it's a craft. Just like singing. Singing on notes, singing in key, playing the keys, stuff like that. So I don't know where this take would come from. [00:15:25] Speaker B: Well, shout out to whatever DJ that she saw that triggered this. Because, I mean, he wasn't doing shit. You wasn't doing shit because he pissed her off. That motherfucker must have had the music playing and he was at the bar, and she probably heard all the scratches and stuff. Cause I'm the cousin. I'm the cousin at the baby showers. I'm the cousin at the family functions. Shout out to DJ Bugsy. I used to steal DJ Bugsy and DJ Aatron mixes. Cause they would put them on Soundcloud and I would play them at my family functions. And it sound like them motherfuckers is in there with us, you know? So maybe that's what she saw. I don't know. [00:15:58] Speaker A: Yeah, we gotta find out where she was at. [00:16:00] Speaker B: She's married to Swizz Beatz. Yeah. [00:16:03] Speaker A: I wonder. [00:16:04] Speaker B: What was that dinner like that night? What was dinner like? What was that conversation? [00:16:08] Speaker A: Zoom. Zone. Zone. Zone. [00:16:10] Speaker B: You said, shout out to Alicia Keys, man. [00:16:12] Speaker A: Shout out to Alicia keys, man. Got some Eminem coming up and some lotto for Gina views. It's effective immediately on hip hop nation. [00:16:19] Speaker C: Injecting integrity and authenticity in the game. [00:16:23] Speaker B: You a freaky ass. You just got your condoms in it. [00:16:25] Speaker A: Hey, I can look at this right now and say, head and Gina gonna work. I'll keep the gangs ringing. [00:16:31] Speaker C: The hottest hip hop. Along with exclusive premieres, effective immediately with DJ head and Gina views. [00:16:37] Speaker B: Like, you put these motherfucking glasses on and he start talking like ti. He just using big words for nothing. [00:16:42] Speaker C: On hip hop nation, the sound of the culture. [00:16:45] Speaker A: Some eminem for your listening pleasure off that new album he just dropped with him. And Jid, shout out to J I D. It's effective immediately. I'm DJ head. [00:16:52] Speaker B: I'm Gina views. And I got some immediate bullshit for your radios. So a group of riders at Six Flags in Mexico were stuck on the ride. Yeah, about 250ft up in the air. [00:17:04] Speaker A: Yeah, I saw that. [00:17:04] Speaker B: As they stuck on a ride, though, it started raining. [00:17:08] Speaker A: It couldn't be bad enough that you stuck in the air. [00:17:11] Speaker B: That's why I don't even fuck around. [00:17:13] Speaker A: I don't fuck around. [00:17:13] Speaker B: I'm not going nowhere, getting on nothing where I can't control my life. [00:17:16] Speaker A: You gonna find out. [00:17:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:18] Speaker A: The thing is, and you know what? I stopped riding roller coasters for a different reason. I ride some shit at Disneyland. Pauldin pause. But I ride some shit at Disneyland. Is wild. [00:17:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:31] Speaker B: That's crazy. [00:17:32] Speaker A: That's crazy. But I think that the takeaway from this is like, you didn't know a storm was coming. [00:17:42] Speaker B: Why are y'all even at the park? [00:17:44] Speaker A: Why you even there? [00:17:44] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:17:45] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Like, cause, like, I remember going somewhere and I'm looking. I remember being somewhere. It's just like you said. You could sense tension, right? Mother Nature also got that. [00:17:55] Speaker B: Got that you can smell when it's gonna rain. [00:17:57] Speaker A: I can't smell, but I can see clouds. [00:17:59] Speaker B: Okay. Right. [00:18:00] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? I got eyes. So, like, unless this shit came in out of nowhere, but the type of. [00:18:04] Speaker B: Rain that they had, that wasn't nothing where you didn't know it was coming. That was the same anyway. Hey, what are you doing in a. Sit in a. I can't believe you just did that. What are you doing? If you're in this predicament, you're stuck on a ride as six flags that high up in the air and it's. [00:18:21] Speaker A: Raining, you can't do shit. What you mean, boy? Probably. I think what I would probably do is record it. [00:18:27] Speaker B: Okay. Like this user did. [00:18:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Just record it and try to. And hope I don't get sick. [00:18:33] Speaker B: In other media bullshit news, little Chris was drinking out of the glacier. Yeah. [00:18:39] Speaker A: Out of a glacier. Yeah, I saw that. [00:18:42] Speaker B: Drinking out the glacier wasn't what was crazy to me. [00:18:44] Speaker A: Really? That was crazy to me. [00:18:46] Speaker B: What was crazy to me was what the nigga had on you. Not cold. [00:18:51] Speaker A: Nigga, why you. Would you.
